Now quoting the second part of the post: "but generally it's just more minor versions of the reasons for Not Approved. Huge variance in the Approved range we get, from those that are barely Approved to those that aren't quite there for Tour Worthy. In essence, anything Tour Worthy is fantastic, with next to no issues, very good hole designs, sculpting, planting etc." In terms of your more specific question - yes, it's one person's opinion, but a Tour Worthy course should be clear and obvious. Instructions from Matt and I are that any where a reviewer is on the fence should be Approved - it may be any of the above that are reasons for that. We won't go into specific reasons per course that isn't Tour Worthy, because frankly we don't have the time. Keep working at critiquing your own course, looking at what those Tour Worthy courses do have etc and it'll come. To put this in other terms, we're not going to go into details about decisions between approved and tour worthy because if we did it for one course, we'd have to do it for the dozens of angry designers that pass this way every week, and this would become a full time job. We're here to filter out the courses we feel should be on tour from the rest to lighten the rangers plates and make their jobs more doable. If you want feedback beyond the basics, ask for some on your course thread, this isn't the place.

Apline Ridge G.C - not approved No course exists under this name. Assuming that it was a misspelling (always a great sign), I looked up Alpine Ridge, and that course didn't have enough pins and had numerous technical issues.

Wuhu GC and Resort (Tour) - not approved This one has a little more polish than most rejected courses, but there's too many basic playability and sculpting issues for this one to clear that bar.
