Can't tell you the number of times in the last couple months where I've wanted to play something less taxing just to kill a half hour or two and give up with nothing to play while thinking No Man's Sky would be perfect to fit that need.
Unless poop is on their banned words list. If I can't name planets and animals after poop this game will be ruined for me.

They didn't really make those space battles look very epic. I fully expect I'll play the game as peacefully as possible so space battles, epic or otherwise aren't my concern. I'm all about the exploring.

Hope the game does not get delayed again due to the legal hassle in regards to the formula they use

Sounds like a garbage claim and attempted cash grab since the other company hasn't even seen the game code. I can't imagine them trying to block the release since that would just limit any royalties they win if this case even makes it to court.

Well. Hello games has admitted using the formula created by Johan Gielis. That same Johan is a chief scientist at Genicap who owns the patent. I would not say that is a garbage claim. They will hopefully work it out though.

He acknowledged it over a year ago and the patent owner waits until three weeks before launch before making a fuss about it while admitting he has no idea if it was actually used or not? Something seems off about the whole thing.
I see quotes from some guy at Genicap saying they don't want to stop the launch but they'll have to have a talk if it turns out the formula was used. Plus he says Genicap is working on their own game using the formula and would love to trade knowledge with Hello Games.
To me it just sounds like they're trying to leverage Hello without knowing if they actually have any leverage. You regularly hear about these patent infringement cases with gaming and they usually take at least two or three years before they get resolved if they ever move along at all. I don't think any have ever caused a halt or delay to business as usual for the accused infringer.

Question...what we have heard thus far is because of the vast universe, (18 quadrillion planets) the game is really about discovery and exploration and the likelihood you'll see another play is also most nil. How then can there be space battles with concentrations of ships and in one place??? Are these all AI?
