I applaud this being done. Seems like fun, but I just can't get myself to play fast. Glad there is another avenue for golf around here.  |

Apologize if this has been covered earlier in thread, but does the no chipping on greens rule apply here too? Just wondering as sometimes it could be beneficial to chip for time sake in some cases IMO.

Yeah, same as tgctours, no chipping unless there's rough/bunker/etc in the way.

Maybe your time 'suspends' if you disconnect (or had to quit) and rejoin?

Unfortunately, if you disconnect or otherwise quit whilst playing, your run is compromised because the time never suspends. There is a timestamp when you finish putting on the warmup hole, and a timestamp at the end of the round --- it's not a stopwatch. And time waits for no-one... Don't worry, there's always next week.  |

Does the pc load faster than consoles? Would find it impossible to have played last weeks round 2mins quicker to match the fastest. Will have to start shooting lower i think

Feel free to stream a round so we can compare, but from my observations there aren't significantly different loading times between platforms.

Welcome to Week 6 of the Speed Golf.
This week we will be playing Freshwater Golf Club by Arctic Fury. This is a great looking highlands theme course*, with Arctic Fury's trademark dramatic elevation changes making for some tough speed golf conditions!
You can find the challenge under Tours, named "speed-golf-w6".
Results from Week 5 will be up shortly.

* You will need the DLC in order to play this course.
Rules
* Your time starts when you sink the putt on the warmup hole.
* Your time ends when you sink the putt at the end of the main round.
* Each stroke you take adds 20 seconds to your time.
* The winner is the person with the lowest combined time.
* We have a warmup hole because timestamps are taken at the end of each round; we then take the difference between the two rounds. This does mean you should try to race through the menu after you've completed the warmup hole, it shouldn't take more than a few seconds.
* The challenge will run until Monday night, and results announced on Tuesday.
* Available on all platforms!

Speed Golf Week 5 ResultsThis week we had 60 entries, of which 42 completed the challenge. HB_Paul this week went one better than his colleague Mitchell and finished the challenge, with a reasonably fast time as well. Nice job. Man do I play slow... slowest time in the top 20. Also, any discussion about top four being PC, bottom 4 Xbox, bottom 8 all consoles?
Now this is TOP 20, so "bottom" is misleading.. Not trying to start anything, just interesting.
