Edit: University Links is now published with multi-pins Univerisity Links - Open Day 1Med-hard firm, Med-fast greens, clear Univerisity Links - Open Day 2Med-soft firm, med greens, rain Univerisity Links - Open Day 3Med firm, med-fast greens, overcast Univerisity Links - Open Day 4Med firm, fast greens, overcast Never fun to have to do this but Plan B was thought to be foolproof (publish backup in Countryside theme). So here's how the rest of this week will play out prior to publishing the events in game. University Links by Patrick Yates is standing by should the update not come out. He has set it up as a Par 70 and it's just a stunning course and a true test of golf - fit for a major! I wanted to announce all the pin setups but our Euro friend just ran out of time (3am) and had to go to bed. We were feverishly testing them to make sure they played tough but fair. They will be published in the morning - I will then be able to give you the official names of the pins we may play. Yes, may! - Balwearie Golf Club is still the #1 option and should the update come out before we publish, that is where we will play.
- If update does not come out in time - University Links will be the host course
- University Links will be a multipin setup released with weather playing a huge factor - you will face both firm fast and med-soft/medium (rain) setups. This is by design to test your ability to adapt...enjoy the challenge!
Whichever course does not get used for The Open Championship will then be slotted into the WGC Bridgestone Invitational

Good solution! But Bridgestone is the Firestone one - right? A bit out of place with a links course maybe?
Lets hope the update drops! Not so much for the course as for the wind....

Or give it to the Challenge circuit to give the guys there a taste of "the big show"? Would produce the most plays for sure, so maybe the designer will see it as a fair trade as well? But - enough dropping opinions from me. You guys have a track record of excellent decisions, so this will be handled exemplary as well.... I'm sure I'll manage to "suffer through" a links Bridgestone should it come to that.

The matchplay is coming up soon on the euro tour, that could do with a nice links course

Well done for Plan C - I'm also kinda glad this is last minute, as it stops some people endlessly practising for weeks on end. Should level the field a little bit, barring the wind of course!

The match play event is going to be a standard tournament, not a match play format. That's sad. I'm sure the Euro-players could handle the event-type and if it's about workload there should be no issue finding volonteers?

Agree and it should be the top 64 european tour members in the race to Dubai standings then a straight knockout sorted by seeding so 1vs64 2v63 etc that would be awesome.
