I played that St Andrews. And on hole nr 17, road hole, That building is just totally misplaced! (If were talking about the same course?) I tried hitting my driver to the fairway, and the line was just in the midle of the hotel. The ball never had a chance of making it, but hit the wall smack in the midle, and bounced back behind me! I got that on video... So no, you cant use that course as a Major contender, IF were talking bout the same course. 3 wood high loft twat, who made you greenskeeper, its the best St. Andrews out there and has the plays to prove it Royal St. Andrews is terrible and missing 2 bunkers down the 17th fairway Lol

And the hole is much more of a "dogleg" right. You should be able to drive it over the left side of the Hotell.

I thought - if it is the same course - that st andrews was.excellent until.the road hole which is all.wrong. it is easy even in real.life if the wind doesnt vlow i shot -16 the other week. I dont care about scores but most do

Unfortunately I am eating to play with Canuck and some more. While it should be fun if the wind patch comes out I would be on the wrong side of it for the second straight major.

Having played my 4 rounds (with mixed results) i actually love the course more than ever, for the simple reason that you have to play VERY well to score.
If you miss your spot, as i did on numerous occasions, it's a real fight to get up and down. If you hit good shots, you can make birdies. It's not like most weeks where you can play horifically and still average -9 or better per round.
I think the winning score will be High 20's to Low 30's.
tbh, if the courses on tour were like this every week i'd be a very happy bunny.
