Interesting discussion. 1. Basketball/NBA. Played the sport through high school and first year in college. Huge Atlanta Hawks fan. Kobe was my favorite player growing up. 2. Golf. Played through high school and college. Scratch player for awhile but now that I am only in college for school, I don't play as much. Handicap around 4 I believe but getting back down towards scratch hopefully. Favorite player is and always has been Sergio, which is weird since most Americans don't like him. Love his passion, love his honesty, love his skill set. 3. American Football. Never played the sport because it was dangerous and I played tons of junior golf around the nation, but it may be the best to watch. I'm a sports journalist and cover a lot of football. Favorite pro team are the New Orleans Saints since 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. Stopped liking my local team Falcons after Michael Vick. Been supporting NOLA ever since. NCAA team is Georgia Tech. Been covering Georgia Tech sports for awhile now. Love the offense, rugby style in a way. 4. Baseball. Team is the local Atlanta Braves. Sorry reebdoog. Also cover the Braves as a journalist. 5. Hockey. Don't have a team since the Thrashers left Atlanta. Just follow the sport a bit, mainly watch playoffs and play the video game. I wish hockey was more relevant in the south because I love the game. 6. Soccer. Gotten more and more into it recently. Atlanta is about to get an MLS team which is cool. I'm a bit of a FIFA video game fanatic and will take ANY of you on. haha. But I of course root for US nationally, my backup is Belgium, love the way they play and love Hazard. I would root for Chelsea because of Hazard but the fans seem very obnoxious and annoying. Still deciding who to root for BPL, but it won't be Man City or Liverpool. Help me out guys. Love Messi, can't stand Ronaldo. 7. Tennis. Don't watch anymore but enjoy casually playing. Root for Nedal if I do watch. 8. Racing. Huge Nascar fan for years but lost some of my love for it. Will tune in very rarely, root for Kevin Harvick and Jeff Gordon. 9. Boxing. Love watching. Don't root for anyone, just root against Floyd Mayweather. 10. Uhhh I enjoy skiing. lol I love all of that, great insight. Soccer seems to be taking off over there, it's a sport where you might wait a while for a great game but when it comes along its simply amazing. It has to be Newcastle United. Ha ha. It would be a bit like me supporting the Mets. If I wasn't a Newcastke fan I might go for Arsenal. They play attractive football have a lot of youngsters. There not won much recently so you wouldn't be supporting them for the glory. |

1. Football - Glasgow Rangers FC. Coming from Glasgow the team you support is sadly dependant on what school you go to.....I'm sure most people from the UK will know what I mean. That said, Rangers is in me and that will never change. I'm still as passionate about them as ever.
2. Aussie Rules - Fremantle Dockers. Since emigrating to Australia 6 years ago AFL has taken over my sporting life. Living in Perth has meant a choice between The Dockers and The Eagles - I chose the Dockers as they have never won a premiership, but Eagles are my number 2 team. There is such a bias towards the Victorian teams that I have to support both WA teams. It's a breath of fresh air being amongst mixed groups of fans after the segregation present in football matches.
3. Tennis - Andy Murray. A Scot. Nuff said.
4. Golf - Rory McIlroy. Superb player.
5. Darts - Gary Anderson. Another Scot.

And I don't bite easily! I was wondering how someone could hate us lovable Geordies! no way! Lol. I have good friend who supprts Norwich. I used to cheer them on in the 90s they were fantastic - ruel fox, efan ekoku, remeber they put 4 on us at goodison, that must of been 94 |

A fun idea to hear about preferred sports, dhnufc  Watching: - Biathelon - Daria Domracheva, Dorin Haubert, Martin Fourcard and all the French and Swedish athelets
- Golf - Noone in particular (if any Couples and Watson) but cheer for the Danes and Swedes. Favorite events The Open, Masters and Ryder Cup
- Handball - Denmark
- Swimming - the amazing world class Danish swim team
- NHL - Ducks and Cannucks

1. Cricket - Some late nights coming up with the Ashes, cant wait to beat the poms. Will pretty much watch any cricket on the TV and I played played club cricket for 20 years when I was younger.
2. Aussie Rules - (the best football code in the world) North Melbourne (Kangaroos). When I was growing up there was no AFL, just the VFL and local footy.
3. F1 (and most motor sports)- Don't like the way it's been heading the last couple of years, hopefully they can turn it around and make it competitive again.
4. NFL, NBA. - 49'ers fan and Lakers fan. Haven't seem any success for a while
5. EPL - Man U fan but have been for 35 years when they were crap and are crap again. I don't like the way the EPL (and European sooccer in general) is all about who has the most money.
6. Golf - played a little but was pretty crap at it. Enjoy watching the PGA and the majors but it's on at a rubbish time here in Aus.
7. Probably any other sport on TV.
Playing pennant Squash with my 16yr old son at the moment and just won our local club's in-house competition which was nice. My twin boys also play squash and soccer so I spend a lot of time watching them play and train.

Now I just hate the braves but pretty much watch because I like the sport 4) Soccer/Football - Played through college...no good though. Just enjoy the sport. I remember playing with the guys from an MLS squad one time and having Carlos Valdarama show up. That guy...he could put a pass on a dime from anywhere... And his hair is legend. 5) Hockey - Full disclosure...I can only watch this on TV when the playoffs roll around but going to a Hockey game in person is just THE BEST thing ever. Hi!
