Have you ever wanted to go play a round of golf only to find that it causes problems with your significant other? Has there ever been a time a golf outing was cancelled because of some last minute drama at home?What about at home, just wanting to watch golf on tv but for some reason you keep being dragged away?Maybe you think all these things happening are just coincidence, bad timing, bad luck. What if I was to tell you it is none of these, what if I was to tell you that I have discovered a secret organisation whose whole purpose is to stop the game of golf completely, the name of this organisation, The Widows Den. Have you noticed your partner leaving the house a lot to met up with friends, to attend a book club, even to walk the dog. I have to tell you now, that is not what they are doing, they are attending meetings of Widows Den to stop you playing golf. Maybe you are saying to yourself, well my wife is not like that, she is always buying me golf themed gifts, have you ever asked yourself why though, is it to support your love of golf? The answer is no, it is to make fun of your golf obsession, to make make you look stupid at work with that golf club shaped tie, to make other driver laugh at that silly golf themed sticker on your car, it is all part of a long term plan to make you sick of the golf theme that you give it up completely.
How about scheduling conflicts? You plan a golf weekend away with the lads but suddenly a old school friend dies of " natural causes" and you need to go to a funeral. Look at your monthly calendar, are there events there that you can't remember planning, a dinner party with a second cousin that you can not stand, a parent teacher meeting during school holidays, shopping of any kind but especially for furniture or curtains, any mundane object. If so, you are the latest victim of Widows Den. I have gotten my hands of some of the top secret documents from this gang of thugs and there are plans to take things to a higher level. They have been training flocks of geese to invade the golf course and hassle golfers on tournament days. They have been hiring witches to curse your golf clubs so that what you thought was a perfect swing suddenly veer to the right. They plan to eradicate the sport of golf completely.
But the most shocking revelation of all, is that this weeks designer nogoal05 is on their pay role, he has been payed to design a golf course for them to train and practice these new tactics and through the act of paying me lots of money, has managed to get the course on the kinetic this week. How he discovered that my one weakness is money, I will never know, But it is to late to change the event now, so you all have to brave The Widows Dens, and the possibility that you will never play a round of golf again once finished, good luck, you are going to need it.
