+1 and -2 for -1 going into the weekend. Made some nice birdies in R2. My putting is slowly improving. Seem to be quite consistently around par with E and +2 finishes in the first two tournaments. Definitely enjoying having a legend/no grid tour as an alternative to the main tour birdiefests. Thanks to those that post videos of their rounds as it definitely helps with the learning experience! I think that'll be sitting very nicely going into round 3 you know. Great shooting. You've been playing great on the societies on Xbox too lately I was hoping to stream the rest of mine tonight but I seen the latest John Wick was on Prime and had a few drinks so I dread to think how my putting would be right now 🤣 will definitely stream through the week even if not on mic. Bunched leaderboard after one round! I have John Wick 4 on UHD 4K Blu Ray Great movie, looks fantastic also, one of the best HDR movies imo

Putting was better in the final round and right up to the 15th I thought I was going to get back under par for the tournament... and then I didn't... Round 4: -3 Total: +1

Going to be playing round two shortly in the middle of The Brew Crew and Platinum. I'll blame you all if I leave any putts short. Especially the boss, fransslabak

Hadn’t played TST for a while but had an evening off last night and seeing as it’s was at one of my courses, thought I’d give it a whirl, did ok which I’m putting down to local knowledge, 70, 66, 71, 67 for a -2 finish, think I saw a -8 through 3 rounds on PC.
Really enjoyed legend, was easy to get on the bogey train at times but on the flip side I had the odd stretch where I swung well and got on runs, felt like I had to really focus on staying sensible with my approaches and try to avoid the big numbers. Legend gets my approval as a setting.
It’s also good to see a classic course like this get its teeth back a bit! The 143 green speed does resemble how fast these greens play IRL, they’re notorious in the local area for their challenge, particularly the 4th, 6th and 15th. Was also good to see the 14th playing like a true SI 1 hole as IRL it’s a bastard of a hole. They actually increased the dog leg slightly by moving the tee further right to stop people going in the houses but I hated the change so didn’t adjust it in game, artistic licence if you will!

Would love to see TST head to St Enodoc at some point on 155 greens and wind, that’s another 6500 par 69 that would show real teeth on legend mode!

paddyjk19 West Hill is a stunner mate. Hell of a job you've done there. I don't know the course irl but it plays really well in-game and looks lovely. 14 is definitely a tricky one. My calculated gamble each day so far has been to launch one over the trees and hope for the bunker then make do from there. And great shooting yourself. That will be rightly up there.

My calculated gamble each day so far has been to launch one over the trees and hope for the bunker then make do from there. And great shooting yourself. That will be rightly up there. That’s the method on 14, we used to just hit 3 woods up and over just short of the bunker and then it’s only a mid iron in. The most common miss was always under the trees on the left holding onto it. The good thing is that the green is intended to take running shots into it so it’s not stupidly difficult. The original tee used to be over behind the 17th green (other side of driveway) it’s probably a better hole from there although much more straight forward. Glad you enjoyed the course! It’s one of my absolute favourites IRL as was there for a couple of years, as a designer I like how it’s difficulty is subtle and you have to make the mistakes before knowing they’re there, like the 4th green - first time you play it looks easy, you only have to miss long and right once before you never make that mistake again! I also think the back pin on the 6th is one of the hardest in golf! 12th is a great short par 4 and ahead of it’s time, hidden dangers that you find when you play it. The par 3s are some of the best around. Also 18 is one of the best finishing holes I know, just looks amazing from the tee. I should be publishing a decent version of Wentworth early next year before getting back into some fictional projects

Well, after last weeks shambolic return to my TST career I started poorly with an 80.
Then felt like I was getting the hang of the swing with a 71/70 middle two rounds but then four silly double bogeys cost me in round four.
80/71/70/78 (+23).
Better than last week.

Funny you should say that Paddy and no kidding but I actually have St Enodoc pencilled in for The Legend Tour season 2 week 3. Might up the wind a bit now that you say that, should be fun in testing conditions 😁

-28 finish for me.
*Dusts off script*
Played really well aside from some loose iro ln shots. Scrambling kept me ticking over and I think I'll be a few short from not quite getting tight enough often enough and missing a few makable putts. I did hole some rakers though. Think I'll be five or six short. Time is a circle lol

I swear tee to green a lot of the guys are way beyond me but on the greens in true sim I pick up a load of shots. Just clicked back on TGC2.

I have John Wick 4 on UHD 4K Blu Ray Great movie, looks fantastic also, one of the best HDR movies imo hi guys, any suggestion how to play better on greens. When I dont see elevation. It is so tricky. I can be on the green by second shot, but then......... Do you struggle mostly with breaks at the start of end of the putt? Or both? I think a good starting point is to look at the bigger picture rather than the small details. So instead of zooming in and looking with a fine tooth comb just look at the green and see if it's running left or right generally with a view to at least getting the general direction of break over the putt and aiming to 2-putt. Even watch how your approach shot rolls out to gauge the initial break at your feet, pop the flagstick in with x to see if it helps you judge break around the cup. But yeah in the first instance I think aiming for two putts with good pace by looking at the general lie of the land is a good starting point. Then as you get more and more comfortable start to really hone in on those smaller breaks. Hopefully that helps!
