Since Monday's aren't always the best for everyone, here's a good laugh to start your day. I really liked the Oakmere GC and did well with the few practice rounds. I played my two opening rounds, and managed to get a pair of 66 for each round. So this morning I check the leaderboard to see how I fared. I couldn't find my name anywhere. Only then did I realize I hadn't registered for it in the first place !

Had a terrible start, just couldn't get anything going at all and on my home course too ! Finished with a 69, then went 65,62,65 so a bit better and tbh pretty good scoring for me. I missed so many putts I lost count in the end Anyway more than anything I popped in here to wish everyone good luck and I hope you enjoy playing the course as much as I enjoyed making it

Well just finished my first ever TGCTour round (outside of Q-School) and I guess you could say I had some growing pains, but wow what an amazing time and terrific course! Front 9: Early on holes 2 and 3 I left some 10-15 foot birdie putts out by just a tiny bit but kept on cruising along firing a 30 on the front. Really solid 9 even for me in the few rounds ive gotten to play. Back 9: I missed another relatively easy birdie on the short par 4 10, thought it killed my momentum but I was very proud of myself to get a tap-in birdie on the par 5 11th. Unfortunately that would be the beginning of the end for my round and ultimately my quest for a top performance in my inaugural tournament. I made a dumb bogey on 12 firing a 92% 5 wood and then missing the opportunity to save par On 13 I learned a valuable lesson about taking my time. It is one of my favorite holes in practice rounds and I tried to sneak it up a little too far. My first bad drive of the day threw a hook into the deep rough. I attempted to lay up and take the safe route but failed to account for the rough side hill lie and hit the planks and went in the water It ended up as a 7 after lipping out a putt for double. I played the last 5 holes 4 under but I know I cant have mistakes like that and expect to do well on Web-A. Super excited to get back out for round 2 and hopefully making the cut for rounds 3-4. Awesome layout. I hope I can bring out 11 more birdies in the coming rounds.

Played the 4 rounds spread out over various times at the weekend and have come to the conclusion that my game in very strong winds needs severe work. shot 64-61-63-70... the 61 was in winds of 5-8 mph but with that final round the wind was constantly around 18 mph and was a struggle from start to finish... this will without doubt be my worst finish yet since joining the 'A ' tour but determined to come back strong next week

Not a good week for me. Qualifying for the US open meant I had less time to practice. I still thought I had a good shot at making the cut so went for it after 2 practice rounds. After 2 rounds I'm only -9. I think the cut will be -10 to -12. I never got going on the 1st round and had 3 bogies. The course design is good but on a number of occasions I needed to bend it round trees but the wind was blowing in the wrong direction. I needed to put too much draw/fade onto my shots and managed to hook or slice a few. I played really well on the second round but I had around 9 birdie putts just not go in. 2 went all of the way around the lip, one went straight over the hole when it should have dropped.
Does anyone think I will have any chance of making the cut? I'm away later in the week and won't know if I've made it until I'm gone.

Sorry for being a noob, but having registered for this tournament I now don't know how to play it... is it under tournaments/ tours or do I just play rounds at the course and submit them like that?

Using a exemption this week as i'm from the Web-B tour. I really hope i've done enough to earn a card but i completely blew up on the final round... dropped five shots mostly from awful shots on the par 3s
65,61,64,68 (-30)

Started slow, but picked it up. 66, 64, 62, 60. (-36). Was worried I would miss the cut after the first round. Have not missed a cut on the Web yet... Lots of 40+ finishes though.

You're easily going to make the cut after your second round. I'm in 69th place at the moment so it's another missed cut for me. After last weeks 36th place, it's disappointing. No open qualification distraction next week though.

I'm playing up this week on an exemption and had hoped for better scores. I normally get to practice a course 4 or 5 times before a tournament but only got one. There are some holes on this course where there feels like a repulsion beam is pushing my ball away from the pin as it approaches. No matter how I aimed, accounted for wind, and accounted for green slope I just couldn't get closer than 10ft. Ah well, I'm in second amount exempt players atm so I'm happy. Just want my Web A card (I started in Champ A after qschool).

Two nice wins already. Keep it up
