My drive on #9 hit the wooden stake. I kid you not. Hit it dead on and bounced back 40 yards. Don't know how I feel about this lol.

Great job here Tyson! The sculpting really does shine in places (particularly the first driveable 4 - love the green site) - enjoyed my round at The Chop - the name sums up my virtual golf at the moment

scottish67 - Hopefully you like what you saw. Actually no we are enemies right now. I hope you hated it! nogoal05 Thank Aaron! Your course is a banger as well though! Glad you enjoyed it! FriendOfBillUU Give me my coin back a-hole! Haha was funny dicking around on it with you. Our match shows how well of a Match Club this is as youa re never out of it! My comback from the toilet bowl shows that! The sucltping is defintely a "eye of the beholder" thing it seems but I love it to! haha sroel908 Thanks Steve! Glad you cranked them up and still enjoyed it! My whole purpose was to make it as flexible as possible for schedules including the Tees and Greens Speeds. Sounds like I accomplished that! coursedesignHQ Patiently awaiting your playthrough video young one! haha mattyfromcanada That means so much coming from you. Now I'm tearing up. Heisenberg Yeah Sorry I skimped on the advertisments for this course. I should do more, you're right! G;ad you got around to it and enjoyed the play! Haha can't wait to see what you have cooking! HoneyBadgerHacker Thanks Eric! Glad you had fun! And glad you can show off the ability for recovery shots I baked in this one! Haha I thinkt hat is the difference for me here is usually I look for strategy that impeads and here I looked more for strategy that gave a little boost but if you miss or go conservative it's not THAT much of a hinderance. Glad it seemed to have worked! pizzastrangler Thanks man! If you give it a spin feel free to offer your thoughts! chatgptgolfklubber3.0 Oh no! haha I hadn't had that happen yet or seen it but it is possible! Hopefully you still enjoyed the round and come back and try it again! haha cg444 Thanks Chris! Glad you enjoyed! I thought the name had many meanings. The location, getting "chopped" from the competition, or having to chop out of crap to get to the green! haha

Super course with plenty of action to keep you on your toes. Sped the greens up to fast with high winds, tons of fun. Can't wait to play the other tee and pin locations. Glad you got through all 17 Pages and got out on the course to flop it like it's hot! Always love you playthroughs!

Ripper of a course man. Had a ball playing this one. Thought there was some very creative stuff out there. Loved being in the environment you created. The width, the sculpting, the colours and the weather gave me some real good feelings. All the best in the competition.

trailducker "Oh no! haha I hadn't had that happen yet or seen it but it is possible! Hopefully you still enjoyed the round and come back and try it again! haha" I thought it was hilarious. I had pro vision or whatever on and it was showing that I was going to hit it. It was in my way, I wanted to hit a low drive right on that line. Went ahead anyways and wack right off it 40 yards backwards! I dunno, I think on blind holes personally there is no need for a stake that could be in the line of flight. I mean, the player knows its blind, but instead try and incorporate a natural feature in the distance, whether a tree, building, dune, flagpole whatever to aim at instead. Just my 2 cents. The Chop Match Club is great though, easily your best course, have really enjoyed my rounds there. You should put out another hole-by-hole video like Uinta back in the day, that had me in stitches.

I really tried to make it something that was fun to play regardless if you focused on the strategy or just played, glad it sounded like that worked for some! Appriciate the kind words!

Loads to enjoy here and great to see you making things more player-friendly . Best of luck! Thank You so much Ben! So many great critiques I can continue to build on. As many know I talk too damn much and like to provide way more context then anybody every needed on my designing so here’s my long winded notes I jotted down on your open ended comments while I watched this time haha - Love that you immediately picked up on the Clubhouse being Tara Iti inspired. One of my favorite IRL clubhouses. And liked it much more than Ballyneal’s so went with it. - The bunkers I tried to sort of immulate the bunkers on Ballyneal which go rugged wasty directly into fairway a bit more manicured. Sounds like that was hit or miss for some. Also I thought with the friendly-ness of the course having fairway flow directly into bunkers was just a slight added defense. I could have been more jagged with the splines maybe. - I’m pretty sure the double breakers are where I did a late fuzzy flatten at my default speed on pins I wanted to smooth out. I did a lot of grabbing things like that at Very Fast and then used Fuzzy flatten on default where I wanted to tame it a bit more and seems it pushed it slightly in the other direction. - You picked up my biggest concerns judges would have is the friendly aspect of the course off the tee and having recovery opportunities that may undercuts the strategy. The advantage to proffered angles are subtle but adding more danger to me fault a bit artificial. Also I used the ridges alot to hit off of for tees, and with that my yardages weren’t as much as indicated at times from roll out. I lowered alot of my tee areas and maybe you can argue should have more but then as you know that brings in visibility issues so it’s a delicate balance we all are trying to perfect. - My plan is to find a happy medium between these greens and my greens of before where there’s interest and angles mean something but there’s also recovery potential. - 7 was originally more like the waste area on 12 but had to rip it up and go more sand for meter. I was maxed on both File Size and Object Meter. I had to delete 5 individual tuffs of grass to even publish. As you pointed out I could have found ways to blend it even more than I have in spots. I have the same issue you have where it’s like “IM GOING TO PLANT THIS AREA” and then I plant the crap out of it. - It’s a routing on Hole 10 goes to the clubhouse so Heisenberg obviously copied me. And you either missed or didn’t point out the theme trickery which was intentional. - Would love to hear your thoughts on Hole 11 on other plays. I tried to keep it super simple and just doing one thing. I knew it was a bit of a risk hole and took a ton of playtesting. Was curious how it would be received. - Par 5’s definitely have a lot of that “fairways as subtle hazards” around the greens where there’s raises or lowered hallows you can find yourself in that can cause issues. You did successfully avoid them on every Par 5. They maybe were too subtle, or you just were throwing darts out there. - I think I mentioned to you in DM, but Hole 17 is actually a nod to Sweetens Cove Hole 5, except with a ridge the green wraps around instead of a bunker. - Hole 18 I went back and forth on if I should make it a LONG Par 4 or a SHORT Par 5 with the roll out off the tee. I kept it 5 as that seemed more in line with the rest of the course but interested for more feedback on that. Again Ben thanks so much for running this and providing these great playthroughs of al the courses. I’m WFH now so hopefully I can actually hop on some of the streams upcoming.

Tyson, another unique, and gorgeous golf course that I have played over and over. This is a course I truly wish I could jump into my TV and play a real round myself lol. I think the scoring opportunities are great when giving shots some thought. Looking forward to this on CC next week. Good luck in the contest, loved it.

Can't wait to see if all the effort doing four tee sets minipulated works well in that setting!

After just being promoted to CC-F after a win last week at Petty’s course, I was excited to play this. The first 9 was a rollercoaster -1 which included an eagle, 3 birdies, 2 pars, 2 bogies and a double. I then lit up and back 9 with -8 to finish r1 on -9. Loved the course and had a lot of fun on the wildly contoured fairways and greens. Great job Tyson and the best of luck in WC

I am not on tours but anyone remember the settings for each round in the tourney that apparently just happened? (With wind and tees.) I half assed search for it and couldn't find this. Might wanna see what number I would have posted. I like the half par holes on the chop would have made for some fun decisions over 4 rounds.
