Dear TST enthusiasts, Time to test your putting skills!  After a few weeks of slow(er) greens, this week I'm taking you to PGA National (Champion). We should have visited this course a few weeks ago, but weather was too brutal then... (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it). -9 to start. I got off to a flyer and was -6 thru 6 holes with eagles on the first and third. The high winds and water on the back nine had me playing safe and scared to get too aggressive.
Great design and set up this. Looking forward to the next three.

Those greens… slippery is an understatement 😂😂😂
I’m proud of how I handled them, despite a few stupid bogeys and a quadruple putt double bogey.
Round 1: -8
Round 2: -2
Round 3: -5
Round 4; -5
Total: -20

I stated this in Discord already, but I really enjoy the feel and look of this course.
Nice Round One Setup and Conditions Frans!
I haven't seen what round 2 thru 4 are yet but I find this course enjoyable.
Any more tournaments in Florida and I'm gonna have to buy a house.

Played first 2 rounds of this usually enjoyable Society, unfortunately HB, 2K or whoever is currently taking ownership of this rubbish game had other ideas.
What would usually take me 40 minutes, took over 4 hours.
Halfway through the first round and all the way through the second round, the game kept on dropping out or refusing to go to the next hole. I had to either restart or quit out of the game over a dozen times.
Managed 3 under in the first round but 5 over in the second round. To be honest when the game was working I really just hit the ball and hoped.
Very disappointing. I love playing TrueSim, but the joy was completely sucked out of this week.
Will try again later in the week.
Shame because this was a great course choice this week Frans.
Rant over.

Not a good round 2, game froze 3 times on me and then had nothing but tempo issues had to abandon the recording.... note to self.. never play on Monday evenings...  |

This is my chance! Been busy practicing Elite, so haven't put any time into True Sim. That's gonna be a problem. |

Never play anytime at the moment Danny 🤬 At least you got your 2 Elite Rounds in before the problems and you easily made the cut. My stuttering and freezing issues seemed to have resolved themselves. I did have a couple days and nights of horror though. Fun. |

I had that problem for 2 to 4 days just a week or so ago. As you know, I ran into some putting loop bugs and what not. My game right now is pretty darn smooth. No freezes, crashes or stuttering. So, any bad scores, I shoot, is on me at the moment. Speaking of which, I just finished round one of True Sim. That course is really nice to look at. People cry about the graphics in this game but I really like em. The water looked really good on my screen and the surroundings is just nice. My problem was upper body tension. Sometimes I get this tension in my shoulders, upper back and I can feel it in my arms and hands. It hampered my game just now. Yesterday was a really good day as I had no tension in practice rounds. I was hitting the ball perfect every single time. That's amazing when you feel good and you are hitting great shots every round. Anyways, I battled this tension and kept the ball in the fairway and on the green for the most part. Missed plenty of putts as these greens have some sharp break as you all know. I had a pretty easy birdie that turned into my only bogey of the round. That was annoying but onto the next hole and forget about it. With the way I was feeling and hitting the ball I'll take a 2 under par start. I'll finish up round two when this tension loosens up. And I'll bang out Elite within the next 20 hours. I was banging out 10, 11 and 12 under pars, in Elite Practice, last night, like it was nothing. But the way I feel right now, physically, I don't believe I could score half of that. I've been seeing a lot of connection problems from others, I haven't had any yet thankfully. I'm used to this course - used to be in TW 2014 and watched on tv a lot. Opened up with a bogey on two but played really cleanly and safely in round 1 for a 68 (-2) - 3 pars on The Bear Trap.
Second round and Jack Nicklaus bit me though I got 3 more pars during The Bear Trap (15-17). Double bogeyed the long par-3 5th hole but made up for it with a birdie on the long par-3 7th. Couldn't hold it together on the tough long par-4 10th, then frustrated, doubled 11. Recovered for the rest of the way with a couple of birdies for a sloppy 71 (+1). I feel lucky it wasn't worse. Only one water ball so far-not over-pushing my luck but not playing as well as last week. 80% fairways round 1 and 33% round 2.
