Welcome to Hay Tedder, a leisurely stroll in the countryside.... until you find yourself in the hay, that is. This course takes inspiration from a layout I sketched about 15 years ago (as I frequently did as a kid). That version was Bethpage-inspired, but Hay Tedder has a little bit more Shinnecock-y, and dropped in the Midwestern/Great Plains heartland. Tee shots visually call for shot shaping, and there's plenty of slope to work it into most of the greens. Burnt-edged bunkers frame the action and await any imprudent shots. As far as play settings go: South wind is formidable; north or west wind is your friend more often than not. The greens are slick -- lag at your own risk!

A fabulous follow-up to Runamok. Loved this. Spaciousness and angles everywhere. Not super challenging from tee to green as some but with the greens at 8.1 and most smaller than average required a premium approach shot. Wonderful vaierty in bunkerign and the environment (incl. planting) was simple but immersive. I got the Bethpage/Shinnec*k hybrid. Well done and thank for another great course. Also loved the layout with a classic crossover at 2 & 14.
