Finding it difficult to keep myself away from GNCD and needed to do something to occupy myself while waiting for the US Open judging to finish up. So, I decided to begin my next course. Preliminary plans will be to create a full scale Country Club setting (as much as the object limit will allow). Full amenities, houses, clubhouse, tennis courts, etc. I'd love to figure out a way to put in a pool, but not sure that will happen. The course itself will be between 7400-7700 yards from the back tees. Greens will be smaller than my courses in the past with more undulation. The firmness will be set to Medium and the green speeds will probably be somewhere in the 160-170 range. My intent is to provide a more enjoyable round while offering a bit of a challenge. Posting a few pics as I've only just begun. First 2 holes laid out. Working name is PrestonWood Country Club after a local course, but certainly not meant as any kind of a replication. May change the name at a later date.

Just a thought on the pool idea, have had thoughts myself. Maybe use the red brick bridge sections as an edge. Would have to do it at or near ground level. Or use the concrete pad, 1 step, as a border. Like I said just ideas

Check the pond/water feature I put near the clubhouse on Rivington Hall. I'm sure the same or at least a similar technique could be used to create a pool. Can see a couple of pictures of it in this thread HERE*Edit - Can't see it too well in those pics so I'll post a better one more close up if you are interested, just let me know.
