I would like to present my second course - Rivington Hall Golf Club. Originally a nine hole course built in the grounds of Rivington Hall, it fell into disrepair when the late Earl of Rivington sadly passed away in 2009. In 2013 after graduating with honours from Harvard Law, the earl's nephew Edward returned to the UK where his love of golf (having been the captain of Harvard's golf team) drove him to spend the next two years not only renovating the original course but also extending it after aquiring some adjacent land on which to build another nine holes. Today Rivington Hall Golf Club is a championship quality 7176yd par 72 18 hole course. It should provide a decent test for all levels of golfer and can be stretched to over 7500yds off the back championship tees for competitions. The fairways and greens are usually of medium firmness making the greens quite receptive to good shots, however they are fast and undulating. The club has full state of the art practice facilities including its own driving range with the latest in video teaching technology. The clubhouse boasts its own 4 star restaurant and bar along with a pleasant outdoor patio area in which to enjoy a relaxing drink after a good days golfing. For those not wanting to golf we also have our own well stocked fishing lake with equipment available to hire on the premises. Tee times are now available with a special two for one offer this week only. Make your next round of golf at Rivington Hall. More pictures can be seen in the work in progress thread here www.hb-studios.com/forum/index.php?topic=10311.0

That clubhouse area looks stunning!
Might be the best I've seen so far!
Looks like I have to play this one for sure.

Thanks for playing and taking the time to write your great review Edi, much appreciated With regard to retaining walls on #18 : I didn't leave them out because I couldn't do them or didn't have the patience (see attached picture of my first course Oakmere to show I can/do), I purposely didn't use them as I felt they didn't fit with the style of the whole of the rest of the course. At one point I had actually put retaining walls approx 3/4 of the way around that hole and decided (rightly or wrongly) I didn't like them there for the aforementioned reason, however if enough people say the same thing and I get persuaded that it would look bettter then I would consider going back in and republishing with them added. Once again thank you for your time taken to play and review the course. Pic of retaining walls on Oakmere P.S. I don't know if you can do it or if I need to ask another admin but the 'other courses by <user>' bit on both my course pages don't list the other one.

You very welcome!
I can see what you mean, and you might be (absolutely) right. Either way... Rivington Hall is a fantastic golf course, and people will most likely honor that, with or without retaining walls around Hole #18.

Just played this in 16mph+ winds and thoroughly enjoyed the whooping I got. Great course and attention to detail. Well done man!

For anyone interested I have published a rainy version of this course with soft and slow conditions - it's published under the same name but with (Rain) on the end.
Personally I think the rainy conditions take something away from some of the holes but meh.... It's a different look and it certainly plays differently anyway.

Just played this. If Oakmere is Web.com difficulty, this is PGA/Euro. Great course, although didnt care too much for hole 17. Time will tell if I prefer it to Oakmere. Hit -4 in 10mph winds.

Hey Oswinner, thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked it for the most part. If you don't mind me asking, what it was in particular you didn't like about #17 (just for my own benefit so I can learn from mistakes etc) Thanks
