Allowing for up to 100% on fairway bunker shots while having a distance/directional penalty for bad swings shouldn't be that hard. They already do the latter with every shot type. All they'd have to do is move the high end of the range up to 100% from fairway bunkers and leave everything else the same. It would be more difficult to account for flyers in the rough though. Of course I meant flyers. People complain about the excess rollout on the default balls now. They would be screaming for their mothers with totally unpredictable flyers. I get totally unpredictable flyers as the game stands now. I mean if the distance to the pin out of the bunker/rough is 150 yards and my lie percentage is 74-76% with a 2 foot upward elevation change in a 1 MPH wind and I use my 5 iron (193 yards), how the hell am I hitting it 10 yards past the green?

Regarding the lie penalty in bunkers - I reckon it's not ideal as it is, but would be a difficult issue to solve.
Bunkers are flat in this game. Yeah you can sculpt the bunker surrounds all you want, but in reality the transition between bunker and the adjacent surface is smooth. Without bunker lips it's going to be super hard to have any sort of mechanic where you need to use an elevated club to escape the bunker. And if you try to manufacture this with sculpting you have to sculpt in an unrealistic way. It also causes frustration for players because with the true vision trajectory turned off you can't really intuitively tell of you've got sufficient loft to escape the bunker.
Ideally with a bunker face as part of the game there would be a much bigger disadvantage to ending up near the face compared to further back in the bunker, due to requiring more loft. And you'd need some way to tell if you don't have the loft before you blast the ball straight into said bunker face.
As it stands, I do agree that the lie range penalty should be expanded to increase uncertainty, whilst allowing a close to 100% shot from the sand if you strike it well. The distance penalty should also be much more severe / more uncertainty for mistimed shots. You should also get more forgiveness when dialling back from 100% power.

It can’t be beyond modern developers to make better code for edging bunkers. They already have a bit of lip; why can’t we control the size and style of that lip? Some edges on paths would be nice too. Controllable Autosculpting of bunker bottoms too, like we sort of had for 3 days when remove heavy rough first appeared,

Custom Course playlists would be sick for aggerating courses of a specific style or in the same contest.

Tee placement on the tee box instead of having every single hole automatically tee you up dead center.

Tee placement on the tee box instead of having every single hole automatically tee you up dead center. Also have the choice to widen the distance between markers.

I would like to challenge Mark (Horusphoenix) and Todd (Demonondalinks) 50,000 coins at Matchplay and take there coins of them , the added pressure and challenge of losing coins . Let there be unlimited coin matches agreed by the 2 players . 2K are dumb as that could force people into buying coins . Also Cross platform society's as this will bring true sim a lot closer together .

A huge one for me is society live 2,3 and 4 balls should just work properly, it's ridiculous how finicky it is just to play your society rounds with other members on the same platform. Also they need to fix silly things like showing the wrong shot type animation for your opponents short game in live rounds. Cross platform is very good in this game and hopefully they take the next step with that to have society full cross platform as that is the real game changer. Also never stop adding to the course designer and I am fine with sticking to Unity engine. This game still looks better to me than EA's woeful golf game.

Oh I forgot, would like to see vibration placed in difficulty settings so society's could turn on off or open .

Oh I forgot, would like to see vibration placed in difficulty settings so society's could turn on off or open . It should be in the same difficulty setting as swing meter as it's an extension of it , it's not rocket science so not sure what they were thinking there. I did point this out to the HB Devs in 2K21 so to see it ignored in 23 is very disappointing, but I did crucify the 2K21 scrambling game to them and there is a massive improvement in 23 so I will say well done there.

They have just introduced hickory sticks which is a great step forward. Now if only they could restrict the driver to a max of 250 and reduce all the other clubs by 30% it would make RCR courses playable rather than drive every green.
