Dear TST enthusiasts, Like the IRL PGA Tour, this week we play at TPC Scottsdale - with its stadium par 3 16th and drivable par 4 hole 17. Don't pull it!!  First two days, there's a bit of a desert breeze...  During the weekend the wind lies down a bit and the weather is glorious. Should allow for some nice scores in the latter rounds. I quite liked the sound of 14-15 putts to birdie one. (Not a guarantee for me!).

Turns out 17 plays as a par 4, who knew!
Round 1 was -1 thru 7, finished +7.
Round 2 was +7 at the turn, finished +8. Progress?
Onward.

A 7 putt on the easiest hole on the course pretty much sums up my day with the putter. Made it worse by getting frustrated.
Time to walk away for the day and play something else. I won't say more fun because I love the pixel golf, but sometimes you just have to admit defeat!!

True to my word I walked away, went to the shop, bought some big boy pants, and returned. A week that the sooner it becomes history the better. Al least dragged home 1 under with 3 birdies on the last 4 holes. Onward with Arthur!!!  |

I only schedule these HB official courses because I love you TST players so much and I know some of you actually like playing them. However, I will never understand how you guys can putt on these checkered crimes against decent greens; had about a dozen three-putts in the first two rounds.
Round 1: -7
Round 2: -3

Round 1: -7 Round 2: -3 I like to practice the conditions and courses. I'm probably the only player who plays round 1 over and over and over. My first 4 attempts I was +4 to +7. It wasn't so much the greens as it was wayward shots. My last 3 practice rounds were -6, -4 and -4. This doesn't mean I'll score so well officially but I love this course  EDIT: Yup, went right in and did 18, first thing, after waking up. I just love the feel of this course. It gives me this feeling of actually being there. Anyways, this was a great Eagle Birdie Finish for me. Finished 6 under. I guess it's time to do it for real and see if I can shoot Even Par. Got my shorts, t-shirt and sunglasses on. No way in H E Double Hockey Sticks they would allow me to go on the course in this t-shirt. |

I had a nice write up but hit the wrong button and deleted it. To sum things up... I suck at this game. Finished the round 1 under par. I still love this course but the change in wind direction gave me problems. I don't think I 3 putted once so that is always a bonus. I fasted my ball into the water on 18. That really saddened me. I love the experience and feeling of the TGC. Really makes the game worth every penny. Don't listen to Frans about official courses. I love this course. And it is nice to have a guy who actually cares about the conditions instead of just giving us all default all the time.  |

You guys ever feel like you don't care anymore and decide to play angry? Happened to me after the sour taste of the first round. I just couldn't let well enough be alone. Damn round was in my head and wouldn't let me do anything else. So, I jumped into round 2 and 3 blind. I thought that might help me score better. Not really and I suggest that none of you play angry. Don't play angry! Anyways... in round 2 I got whooped shooting 2 over par. In round 3 it was a seesaw battle of Schizophrenia. Sometimes I played with no fear and other times I played like a little girl. Shot 3 under bringing my tournament to 2 under going into the final round. I don't have the energy to play round four right now. Maybe later today. Maybe not. I'm number one? That's what the photo says and I'm not gonna argue!  |

Was having a great round and getting cocky after hole 13. I hit a nice drive on 15 but should of planned it out better. I was in-between a huge gap with my 3-wood and 3-iron. After some deliberation I decided to go for it and fell short into the water. Hit the next shot into the sand. Dubbed the sand shot. Missed the putt. Tapped in for double bogey. Same exact story on 17 minus the sand and insert rough. Was 6 under for the round and 8 under for the tournament with four to play. Shot a nice four over par on those four holes. Hard to complain though, as I sit here, living the dream, and playing video games, while others suffer. GL and HF with your rounds this week for those who haven't finished. I beat Ben. He's not so tough.   |
