Contest #2 - Fair Play - March 29th - April 26th:Contest Challenge:Build 6 (2200 Yard Minimum) strategically sculpted holes with only Fairways and greens. - No Sand or water hazards, no Plants, no rough (or bare earth) patches are permitted inside the perimeter of the course.
- Holes along the outside perimeter can have rough, bare ground or waste bunkers (not manicured bunkers) against it to that single side.
- Plantings, buildings and any other off course items can be along the perimeter sides as well.
Judging:
You will be judged on: - Aesthetics - Technical Execution - Individual Hole Strategy
as well as - How well you sculpt your fairways and greens to influence strategy. This contest is really about sculpting. With no hazards or rough you have to create a strategy on each hole from creative sculpting of the land. Be mindful as well to not overdo it. You will be judged on poor sculpting that makes a green too penal or a fairways surface unnecessarily unplayable. Also do your best to create variety through the six holes in clubs used and types of shots requested of the golfer. Other startegic things to focus on include falter lie vs. slopped lie, best angle into the green slopes vs. one where the slopes make the shot more difficult, blindness vs. visibility, length vs. laying up, ect.. You may begin now! When you are completed please comment in in the individual contest post (seperate from this one, click the link) and tage me. Please title the course “DL4.1_[Forum name]” when you publish. Greens must have 4 pins. The judging is for 6 holes and 6 holes only. If you make any more holes you will only be judged on the first 6. All courses must be published by April 26th 11 pm PST. I will go by when you post in the forums to check this. HAVE FUN AND BE CASUAL! A contest where nothing needs to be planted... or finished? Apologies. I ended up catching COVID this week and missed when I was going to post Event 6. I will post it tomorrow morning. It will be a 9 Hole Major and the Finale for this season!

Woohoo. Thanks trailducker for putting on the comp all season, good feedback each time which will help improve us as designers. Wish I could have put more time in to most of the rounds but glad to have won |
