Everything's bigger in Texas.Especially the fairways and greens at the newly opened Ransom Ranch. Check out the fall routing of this wide open course, with massive, rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. You'll need to plan out your approach angles and pay attention to how the ball is going to roll out to be successful here. As a long par 73, the ground game will be in play often. Hope y'all get a chance to give it a play and enjoy! Designer Notes:-I designed this to be an extremely versatile set of fairways and greens, being able to play well from a variety of angles and distances, and in a variety of conditions. -I used the "Q" tee trick and have 3 sets of tees that should all offer an interesting, and vastly different round. -The greens should be playable anywhere from 144 to 187. -The reverse routing should be out in a few weeks, but will take a little more work.

This is like if Knob creek and Revival Club had a baby. I just witnessed hole 13 and just stopped for a second. I stared into the abyss of that fairway, and I think it stared back. Absolutely excellent minimalist course. I cranked up the winds for the full experience.

Yep. Absolute genius. Feels like Shadowpoint's child. Love the ground game options and the greens. Hole 1 is strategic brilliance - found myself hitting onto the other fairway to the right, then having to hit a draw in to a tucked little pin. Genius course - Q will need this one for the top 10!

This was cool, although I did end up behind 1 of the 6 trees actually in the playing area. A football field full of fairway to hit and I end up behind the only tree on the hole lol. Loved the environment, loved the openness of the fairways, and loved that there was still strategy involved even though you had acres to be able to hit. Greens were fair and well done. Awesome job Matt!

Played this last night, if you loved Shadowpoint Pines like the rest of us did, then you're REALLY going to love this one. So much strategy, angles really really matter, bunkers are placed annoyingly well, and there are some real standout holes.
Well done Matt, killed it again.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm *in Lumberjack Canadian
(Can't wait to see the other routing on this one!)

I really appreciate all the plays and kind words, guys. As alot of y'all have picked up on, I'm a huge fan of the uber-wide, make-you-think style courses like Revival, Knob Creek, and Buck Club. I'm glad people are finding this one to be fun as well.

I had a lot of fun with this course last night. It probably didn’t hurt that I had 9 or 10 birdies in a row in the middle of the round. Going to play it again on stream tonight around 9pm CST. If you can, stop by whodatmatt34 as I would love to discuss the thought process on 15. It was the lone head scratcher for me. I’m on PS4 so if you want to play it through together, I’m down. We can probably wrangle in mattyfromcanada as moderator. I can’t wait to see the alternate routings too!

I definitely plan on catching your stream tonight and I'll try to expand on it a bit, but the basic thought process on 15 was that I really enjoyed watching Ben get caught behind Petty's Babylonian trees and I wanted to try to use something like that as a hazard. Still can't even decide if I like it, but I wanted to try some random crap on this course and see what sticks.

Stunning course! Love the strategy and angles you can create with the wide open environment. Well done!
