Donald Ross' Seminole GC is ranked #38 in the World, 21st in North America, 21st in America and #1 in Florida and basically flat proving that you don't need a tee shot to a fairway 300' below or a 200 yard carry across canyons or water, all you need is just a good solid design. There's still some work to do before publishing. I wasn't happy with the planting I had and ripped it out yesterday, the maintenance crew was PO'd. The flyover is a great tool (advantage PC) to see things that still need some love. There are 4 tees, Blue tees = The real courses Tips (7265 yds) are there, the Black tees on some holes extend the course another 280ish yards to 7548. This is another course where I asked Fransslabak to assist me on pin placement, we have a process and he is a pleasure to work/converse with. Course Flyover Ross loved this elevated corner so much that he placed 4 tee complexes and 4 green complexes on it, the man was a Master!    |

Was this made with the 2019 LiDar (published 2022) that I think encompasses most of the C&C work that ended in 2017/2018. Looking forward to this!

I used the published in '22 files and the latest images on GEP and videos of the '21 Walker Cup matches held there. This was one of the several courses on my "Check to see if the LiDAR is updated" list, especially after the reno. I loves me some Donald Ross but flattening these billions of bunker bottoms is wearing me out!!!  While I have the mic, I admire your work and I wish there were more like us doing LiDARs. They may not get used on the regular tours here and I totally get the reasoning behind that but the general 2k2x players seem to like them so there is that. |

Just a sample of the spline work involved. I sat down to do it all in one session before one of my OSM buds showed up and reverted the work back to the pre-C&C reno and 12+ hours later ....  |

Paddy read my mind about something, I hope he didn't see all of the crazy stuff in there too. LOL I used Tropical because of the Palm trees but there aren't really that many and I'm at 50% on meter so a theme change and waste area spline deletes may in the works to be able to use the rough removal tool, sadly it doesn't do a thing on Tropical. McTrees has shown me a few things with it, I think once peeps move away from the buried tree thing and experiment with the various brushes and opacity, we are going to see awesome work.

It's rough and needs work and practice using it but we may be on to something .... it's way easier than having to flatten the waste areas  |

Probably the one course of mine I wish I could port and play in 2K23. The only thing I can see from your pics is maybe use a different tree for the privacy fence along the boundary, something darker and more manicured if you can find it.
