Sorry to butt in - I've recently returned after a 2 and a half year break (hate the swing stick so came back for the 3 click). I'm eager to get going on TGC tours but want to get a feel for the game and get the fittings etc. Can I earn the fittings by playing on TGC Tours, or do they have to be earned in "My Career"? Apologies if this is a stupid question.

You can earn them through society rounds, but I think you get them faster in career mode.

Just be aware that the tour currently has like 35 to 40 players and the cutline is pretty competitve. Have Fun out there and Good Luck. I used to play on the 3-Click Tour but I got too involved with a bunch of other leagues and tours so I decided to give it up for the time being. I miss it. The 3-click hate from ranked play also put a sour taste in my mouth. I love 3-clicking on High Roller Skins and Ranked lul. Screw the Swing Stick Haters!

Didn't realise there was such a small number of players.

I'd suggest to grind career mode to acquire currency and fittings first. Play 1-round tournaments, use TGCT settings right from the start, but set the opponent difficulty to easiest, so that you can easily beat your rivals and win tournaments. You get additional currency and fittings as sponsor or rivalry rewards, therefore career mode is more efficient (but also more boring) than societies. If you have additional time left, you may want to consider practicing the Challenge Circuit tournaments. Hope this helps. Cheers, Kevin Kevin,
That looks like some great advice. I just finished Q school in the game and I'm working on qualifying for the PGA tour. I'm using the TGCT settings.
Thank you,
Keith
I have now started Q School, how long does it take?

Q school is only one tournament. If you win or finish high enough, you enter the Korn Ferry tour, which is 6 tournaments. Get three wins there or place high enough and you get promoted to the PGA.
