Played the first round and got to one under par, vast improvement for me π. Second round back to normal with a ten over par.Inconsistent golf timing and some bad putt reading of the greens π. Third round another good round for me with even par. Last round, best round at playing true sim in 2K23,a minus two. Love the design of the tenth hole, even though i made a complete mess of it in round years π. Finished +7. Goodluck everyone and see you next week π.

Yeah, my R1, I overestimated my skill level and went for it on 10. Came up just short, landed in the drink. Somehow put my dropped shot back in there as well. Guess my balls were in a relationship with each other and wanted to swim together. I wound up with a soul crushing 10. These were my first two rounds on True Sim, and I went +2 on 3 of the four 9-holes. Only that back nine on R1 screwed me (thanks to hole 10!) and I finished that 9 holes at +11. Damn you hole 10!

Well, I gave it about as good of a run I could give this week! Now waiting to see if that's enough. Finished -25 with -5, -8 finish. To add onto my 111.3 yard hole out eagle on 13th hole in round 3, I present to you the chaos that occurred elsewhere on the greens, with the most confusing putting splits that I have had the privilege of seeing: Round 4 started off slow with -3 front. Came through like a storm at the back and finished strong for once! Minus the one bogey on 15, but... Feeling pretty good about the state of my game right now once it actually goes anywhere near the plan and I think it shows nicely. Not on the putting side of things here in TST, but otherwise I can be reasonably happy with it all. Been on here for 2 years and a week at this point. Started off 4th to last in my first event, no rounds of this before and very little idea of the game of golf for me. 2 years and 90 events of weekly trying later, with all the ups and downs and everything in between, is this the week where I finally reach the top step of TST and next week, I go and fight against the absolute best in the game within the same flight? Might cut close, but let's see if the end times draw near and this bumbling idiot actually makes it to the big league. Either way, we go again next week. Cheers, good luck!

+8 round 3. The quicker greens still puzzle me, but we go.... Onward! As I want you to play better and your long game is good Art, I will give you some advice and I hope you don't mind. Putting weight is massively different on 2K23. In the last game it felt like I was smashing shorter putts in and felt a little bit unrealistic, this game the opposite as the ball really rolls out. I played your ghost in round 3 and you putt like 2K21 160 greens, 155 are probably faster than 2K21 187's. This game certain putts are just get the ball moving when above the hole or even a level putt, a really short backstroke is needed for 155 greens. I watched your backstroke and you pull back the putter head twice as far as I would for so many putts. Make sure you play on Full Cam as this shows the putter head backstroke movement very well, Wide Cam is no good for shorter putts. Also make sure putting weight is something you use for your club fittings, it will help your game so much. Look forward to seeing your scores dropping to under par.

After a reinstall of Windows and this game I went in naked as 80% of my hard earned club fittings are now in digital oblivian. Good news is I have moved to a NVMe drive and the game runs very smooth. But zero fittings on my irons but manged to fit my wedges, putter and driver. Just didn't play well in the final 2 rounds and was 2 over for them and 7 under for the tournament.

Feel free to play my ghost one of these days and tell me how I can improve my approach shots! π I can drive, chip and putt pretty decently, but man, I can't hit a good approach to save my life. For my GIR this tourney, I hit 61%, 55% and 44% twice. But that's not even a good indicator as many of those GIR still left me a long putt. I would be no where near the pin. Luckily I can scramble well (usually above 75% I think) so I am a par machine at times on CC. But being a par machine isn't going to win me any tourneys...I need to start scoring, and that starts with my approaches. I am going to do an analysis on my fittings this week before I play and try to max out timing and swing plane, although I am too not far off of max now, but both are still the achilles heal of my approach shots. In reality, it most likely just comes down to finding out how to calm down my stick movement and finding a better grip on the controller.

Appreciate the insight, will take this to heart and try to be lighter with the putting stroke. I have had lots of good players reach out to try and help me, just shows the sense of community we have here in TGCT. Onward!

Felt like I was swinging quite nicely but scored horrendously! am +4 at the halfway and lining up another double demo from the top flight! First time playing the course, really enjoyed the layout of the course but felt the overall interpretation of the designer in-game left a bit to be desired - did literally none of the off-course detail, IRL there's quite a few houses, forests etc. so without any of that it didn't feel very immersive. In game it's just wide open, unplanted spaces. Also wasn't a massive of the texture choices, that luminous green felt a bit unnatural. That's just a personal preference though not a criticism. I did like some of the rock work around the lakes though and the designer hasn't made any glaring errors in the immediate playing area. Would just like to see some more detail on the overall environment, the best courses in game manage this even though it's time consuming. Just some thoughts for their next design. A little late to the game here but I just saw on my designer page that it was on tour, read this and wanted to explain. Long story short, I had more of the off the course stuff planted in 2k21 but ran out of memory so I tried to do as much as I could but having worked there IRL, I still wanted it to be better. When I ported it to 2k23 the memory was at 125% so I had to delete basically all of the off course planting and even some on course planting just to be able to get it published in 2k23, which was unfortunate as I was hoping to be able to add more, not less with this version. Hopefully if it lives to see another game I can put that stuff back in π
