And what about shot from bunker? We have to play splash shot only from now? Splash was never that hard once you learn your partial distances, you can apply spin to get more bite when ball hits the green also. Seems more forgiving now than it was before regarding tempo.

You can flop and normal for sure. And chip shot from bunker is going to be locked ? You can no longer use a chip shot from a bunker in the game. At all. In any mode.

I'm guessing now you'll find the green speeds on CC will be set at a speed that is comfortable with the default balls. This must make things much easier for the schedulers who set the conditions, they no longer have to consider how the trees will roll across a number of different speeds and can set appropriate speeds for each round. I agree but the default balls will possibly restrict them setting very fast greens. I played with one around 177 and it was ridiculous. 155 I've played loads with them and you just have to be careful, no issue, but game felt crackers on 177. Sure, but with these mechanics do you need very fast greens? I feel the greens play well with medium or medium fast greens (with default balls). In 2k21 you'd need to ramp up the speeds to create challenge as the short game was too easy. In this game the short game mechanics are well suited to slower green speeds which play more naturally and still retain challenge.

Courses will have to be designed with 186's in mind if we ever use them on that setting. I doubt you'll see many very fast greens this season - especially on the Challenge Circuit. Ideally designers set default speeds just above or below the 155 mark (default fast) so we have some options in that area.

So are the default ball and no chipping out of bunkers only a TGC tours restriction or is it available to all societies? Chipping out of bunkers is gone from every facet of the game. I'm designing a course and I can't chip out during my playtesting either.

Ever since I did the update, every shot I hit is black fast and goes nowhere. anyone else having this issue? I just qualified for CC-A prior to the update so I know the problem isn't myself lol I was unaware of the patch and went out and played my first round. I can't play with Master as it is, but it seemed EVERYTHING was going fast. I went to the range and started hitting shot after shot and recalibrated. I'll know more after the next round.

issuing a chargeback on my card. splash shots are so broken it ruins the game.. see some of yall over at EA when it drops next spring And what Chargeback are they raising? I used to work in Debit Card Disputes/Fraud at Lloyds and the only 1 I can think of is "Faulty goods" but this does not fall into that as you can play the game. At best you may get your money back from your own bank but that is only if you kick off enough and they don't want the hassle, but they won't be successful on the Chargeback back to the originating bank of the seller you bought from. I certainly would be told you there's no chance on it back in the day so sort it with who you bought from.

Imo the problem wasn't the different balls, it was the roll attribute. That's what should have been patched.

Great news, I've only ever used the default ball.

None of the above, I just had to rage about shooting -9 in round 1 and then -1 in round two after not realizing this change and tripling back to back holes as I kept duffing it. I’m sure I’ll be back on later tonight
