Registered for the event and played on Xbox (Series X) for the first time - not seeing my scores. Used to play on PS4 and never had any problems in past seasons.
I opted in to the data sharing - anything else I might have done wrong? Maybe I shouldn't have switched my preference after registering?
Anyway, the course was fantastic with the exception of I think it was the 15th - the green rejected all kinds of good shots down a steep slope to the left. Felt like you needed to purchase a friction ball for that one. Rest of it was superb.

Maybe I shouldn't have switched my preference after registering? That was the issue - I've fixed it for you and you should be good to go in a few min.

Damn this is a really disappointing realization for me. I've been playing within TGCTours for the past few years, and I might have to step away now. I'm not good at this game but I've always had fun. I've always hung around the bottom of the CC in the past two games. The decision to play on Masters for CC in this game is a real killer, I get it though. Masters just is too difficult for me, and it is not fun. I know, I know, "Get Good" but I've been playing these games for years and I know I'm not going to be able to get good enough to where Masters is fun or where I'm even competitive in the lower CC groups. On Masters a par is like a birdie for me, It's a battle to bogey with the master swing timing and bad swing penalties. 2 of my real-life friends who also play are also in the same boat and are too discouraged to even try. I started my qualifying round and after being more than 10 over with holes to play I realized the frustration is not worth it. I just can't play at at the master level, its not fun. Good luck to everyone! The courses you play once you have your card... they won't be as hard as this... your scores, therefore, will be closer to what you're "used to", I suppose.

Got a PlayStation 5 last night and was going to wait until Saturday to get used to it but what the hell. -36 for me. Some lovely tempo and some horrific swingplane. Looking forward to knuckling down this season! Play well guys! Welcome!

Thanks mate. I'm a little gutted to be leaving Xbox and might come back in time to be honest . I'll miss all the societies. I grabbed this for god of war and a few other games and just thought 'what the hell let's see what PGA is like' as well. Good luck yourself! So in short... do you prefer the Box or the Station and why ?? Keen to hear an XBoxer and their immediate thoughts on the transition to the "Dark Side"! (Cue heavy breathing through mask. I'll fire you a message after work mate. I'm always guilty of going off topic on here so don't want to clog the thread up. I like it so far though but having to get used to a different controller is trickier than I thought.

I know it is popular to say Playstation is the easiest platform but I guess it depends on what metric you're using to judge that. In the last game, it was just tempo that was harder on Xbox. In this game, the data isn't necessarily showing that to be the case. PS users are definitely hitting the lowest percentage of perfect tempos. Maybe it is easier to hit grey areas on PS than XB...I don't know. But based on ease of hitting perfects, XB/PC is hitting higher percentages. But... But... But... Aaaaw.

Wasn't going to play tonight but had some time before Red Zone starts. Loved the course. Don't know what all the fuss is about on 15, I hit the fairway, hit the green and sank a 10 footer for eagle. Easy A water ball on the second par 5 cost me a shot and I had a very annoying bogey on 18, but apart from that I'm delighted to kick off with a 63. There's nothing like TGCT rounds. Loved it. I Eagled 10 aswell... In fact it was the only I hit under par on the 1st round ๐ i had a disappointing end to R1 with 4 bogeys in last 6 holes, but I had a much better R2 and feel confident I can get under par across the 4 rounds

Here's an Xboxer with a pleasant attitude. Great round bro! Played rd 1 this morning. -5 through 15. -2 to finish. Bogey bogey bogey finish. Yikes! A great course that will punish you with bad approaches. That's golf.

I was curiously nervous loading it up, nearly 7 years here and it still gets me now and then! Actually started great with 2 birds but then left it in the greenside bunker on 3 twice and carded a triple. I hit some good shots but also got out of position a few times, couple of lip outs on top, one of those rounds. Pleasingly I managed to birdie 3 of last 4 to shoot a battling 68 and get to -11 thru 2. Not understating some of the criticism I'm seeing on the course. It's brilliant and perfect for this event.

Agreed on the course Giraffe72. I liked that the difficulty came from positioning, slopes and angles rather than any ott spots that would leave unplayable shots ( that I found at least). Really enjoyed it.

Phew that was rough, course and my gameplay lol. Hopefully even par will get me placed somewhere in CC. Was hitting decent shots but was accounting for the crazy roll off the fairways and then my putting was terrible. I just couldn't read the greens to save my life. I'm still struggling to find consistency with this game, there will be rounds or tournaments where I shoot lights and way under par, then other rounds where I hit such bad shots and putts I find myself either over par or struggling to shoot even.
