Damn this is a really disappointing realization for me. I've been playing within TGCTours for the past few years, and I might have to step away now. I'm not good at this game but I've always had fun. I've always hung around the bottom of the CC in the past two games. The decision to play on Masters for CC in this game is a real killer, I get it though. Masters just is too difficult for me, and it is not fun. I know, I know, "Get Good" but I've been playing these games for years and I know I'm not going to be able to get good enough to where Masters is fun or where I'm even competitive in the lower CC groups. On Masters a par is like a birdie for me, It's a battle to bogey with the master swing timing and bad swing penalties. 2 of my real-life friends who also play are also in the same boat and are too discouraged to even try. I started my qualifying round and after being more than 10 over with holes to play I realized the frustration is not worth it. I just can't play at at the master level, its not fun. Good luck to everyone! I am with you here 100%. Like a fool I guess, I used the default ball (nice guys finish last Dad always said) on round 1 and I am out. I lovwed the beer league and TGCT but this is too much and in many ways, feel like I wasted the money on this game. All the fittings and skills and ball choices, it's just too "fitty" for my tastes and well, see ya all later or, not. Have fun. |

so I forgot to put my steam ID in my profile (this is my first time using PC) and did it after my first round. is that going to cause an issue for me? No, you'll be fine assuming you've checked all the other boxes (registered, opted in etc) |

I know it is popular to say Playstation is the easiest platform but I guess it depends on what metric you're using to judge that. In the last game, it was just tempo that was harder on Xbox. In this game, the data isn't necessarily showing that to be the case. PS users are definitely hitting the lowest percentage of perfect tempos. Maybe it is easier to hit grey areas on PS than XB...I don't know. But based on ease of hitting perfects, XB/PC is hitting higher percentages.

Wasn't going to play tonight but had some time before Red Zone starts. Loved the course. Don't know what all the fuss is about on 15, I hit the fairway, hit the green and sank a 10 footer for eagle. Easy  A water ball on the second par 5 cost me a shot and I had a very annoying bogey on 18, but apart from that I'm delighted to kick off with a 63. There's nothing like TGCT rounds. Loved it. Here's an Xboxer with a pleasant attitude. Great round bro! |

Been trying to practice all weekend, as best a casual CC player can, LOL!
Round 1 was probably my best round so far since getting the game- Until the 17th. Was doing absolutely great, pars and a couple bogies, approach shot was still off but chipping and putting was saving me. Then on 17, something about the hole placement, I miss read the green... THREE TIMES. Yup, I had been making 10-15 ft putts all afternoon, and on that hole, I missed three putts in a row by about an inch as it rolled by the hole because something I saw wasn't there. So frustrated, I double bogied 18 too, for good measure.

Based on my limited experience so far having been an Xbox player since TGC2 released you're totally right. The amount of tiny greys you get on PlayStation is just totally incomparable to the huge gaps between points I'm used to on Xbox. I'm still adjusting big time and tbh I'm having to switch sticks and thumbs because of the controller design (I've always used left stick but on the ps5 controller it feels so awkward) and might not ever hit my Xbox heights but you can immediately feel the difference on tempo. It really is such a shame they can't replicate it on Xbox. |

Only 1 perfect point with slight misses on ps5 version. Still think it's a good platform but it's also much harder to hit swing path. Xbox as long as you would have hit anywhere from a perfect to a slight grey fast/slow on PS is a perfect, so they will have higher perfect rates. PS4 players probably hit slightly more than PS5 as well, but when they miss it's quite a bit worse than PS5.
I would imagine there's probably a good bag to deal with misses. Lower power = lower spin (and avoid spin balls) make misses a lot less severe because fast/slow doesn't hook as badly. I run a very high power bag with spin ball, but as long as it's perfect or slight fast/slight slow it's very strong. PS5 is good for that, the tempo misses aren't very severe until you're a little further out, which I imagine lower level players will struggle with more.
Highest level Mouse = PS5 > PC Controller > PS4/Xbox? Maybe PC/Xbox/PS4 are all pretty close.
Average players probably MUCH more even this year.

First time playing PGA Tour 2k. Use to play Tiger EA back in the day. Master is rough but fun, keeps you honest. Was +1 through 9 and ended up +7 for round 1. Im starting to get the tempo down. I do re calibrations every few days because my tempo changes and finding what works best. Looking to have fun while attempting to move up to pro tours.

I cant agree more with this, mouse feels so much better in this game. I'm also mysteriously much better at putting Grey zone is much bigger. Especially if you add putt weight. So as long as you're fairly close you get pretty good power no matter what. Also, I think the best of the best mouse players might have slight advantage over PS5, but it's still pretty close. |

Would be interesting to see the black fast and slow numbers for each platform as they’re the most detrimental |

Finished +10 for the event. Hopefully the lower levels of CC don’t have us playing courses where you can hit a perfect drive down the right side of the fairway and it ends up in the heavy rough on the left side of the fairway.

Great shooting! Sad to see Xbox loose another player, especially one of the better ones. I know you're a good player, but to shoot -36 in qualifying having had the new console less than 24 hrs is amazing. As an Xbox player, it's demoralizing too. lol Good luck on the Pro tours! Thanks mate. I'm a little gutted to be leaving Xbox and might come back in time to be honest . I'll miss all the societies. I grabbed this for god of war and a few other games and just thought 'what the hell let's see what PGA is like' as well. Good luck yourself! So in short... do you prefer the Box or the Station and why ?? Keen to hear an XBoxer and their immediate thoughts on the transition to the "Dark Side"! (Cue heavy breathing through mask.  |

This was a course that really really punishes you for hitting good shots. The fairways were sloped so badly that nice drives would end up in the rough. Greens weren't much better. Lots of close shots rolling off the green, and sometimes rolling all the way into heavy rough. Most ridiculous course I've played in awhile for sure.
