-18 for R1. Absolutely delighted with this, although I felt the course was a bit short for Q School. A first 2k23 hole in one too. Wasn't happy with the yardages so it was a brave decision to use the putter from the tee. Probably the best shot I've hit in any version of the game.
On to R2.

Well, -33 thru 3 rounds, I tried to squeeze R4 in today, forgot to apply the right ball, so unwittingly played a default which totally screwed me and I realised after a few holes. Made a few bogeys, missed the customary amount of easy putts (if only there was a course I could practice these on...), and managed to complete the round in 2 sittings with the 3 year old climbing on me.
-5 R4 for -38 total, on the piss easy Playstation. We should be forced to play blindfold.

R1 (-7) R2 (-7). I guess I’m at least consistent. I’m not mad at these scores on Xbox so far. Not gonna lie… Nerves kicked in a bit R2 😂. Something about TGC tours and the competitiveness 🤷🏼♂️.

Got a PlayStation 5 last night and was going to wait until Saturday to get used to it but what the hell. -36 for me. Some lovely tempo and some horrific swingplane. Looking forward to knuckling down this season! Play well guys!

I know you're a good player, but to shoot -36 in qualifying having had the new console less than 24 hrs is amazing. As an Xbox player, it's demoralizing too. lol Good luck on the Pro tours!  |

(Not me) -18 through the first round. Color me skeptical as this round has an albatross on #10 WITH a putt! This is a 550 yard par 5 uphill 70 feet from the tee. Think about that, and then process whether the later ace (that has a putt!) and other numerous eagles are legit. Sounds like some scoring hiccups somehow with API data, IMO. Really great catch - smart way of thinking to uncover that. I gotta get used to your name change - if it wasn't for your avatar, I wouldn't know who you are! |

Damn this is a really disappointing realization for me. I've been playing within TGCTours for the past few years, and I might have to step away now. I'm not good at this game but I've always had fun. I've always hung around the bottom of the CC in the past two games. The decision to play on Masters for CC in this game is a real killer, I get it though. Masters just is too difficult for me, and it is not fun. I know, I know, "Get Good" but I've been playing these games for years and I know I'm not going to be able to get good enough to where Masters is fun or where I'm even competitive in the lower CC groups. On Masters a par is like a birdie for me, It's a battle to bogey with the master swing timing and bad swing penalties. 2 of my real-life friends who also play are also in the same boat and are too discouraged to even try. I started my qualifying round and after being more than 10 over with holes to play I realized the frustration is not worth it. I just can't play at at the master level, its not fun. Good luck to everyone! Idk how long you have been playing 23 but it gets easier as you get fittings for your clubs and better balls. I would suggest calibrate your swing as well. I completely forgot to do that like the first week I played but after doing it, Tempo was much better. It’s definitely challenging and pars are good with this set up. Avoiding bogeys the best you can is key instead of trying to birdie every hole. I know that’s easier said than done. It’s definitely challenging. |

Ouch… +24 R1….. R2 +9… #xbox 😢 yeah I’m seeing people score like -15 and no doubt it’s PlayStation. It’s really unfortunate. Lol, yep playing on Playstation would have definitely cut 50 strokes off. 🤣 |

True, the greens aren't my issue. I'm confident and putt/chip well. The part that I can't get a grasp on and struggle so much with is full shot swing timing on masters swing difficulty. I'm either very fast or very slow and the harsh penalty of shanks or tops from the tee/fairway is just too much for me. What platform? Do you pause at the top? Have you tried Rythm archetype with legendary timing fittings? Is your controller old? Have you tried extreme calibrations? VF or VS Have you practised tempo using a metronome to encourage same tempo each time? |
