Rain in R3 makes this round basically unplayable for me on Xbox. Not sure why that would be added in a qualifying event.

I'd hardly call shot shaping unrealistic. Even at my average 13 handicap I can hit fades and draws when I need to.

Just finished my 4 rounds of the qualifier and what an eye opener.
Round 1 +3
Round 2 +4
Round 3 +10
Round 4 +9
Total +26
It's a little frustrating but I'll keep trying.

Just finished my 4 rounds of the qualifier and what an eye opener. Round 1 +3 Round 2 +4 Round 3 +10 Round 4 +9 Total +26 It's a little frustrating but I'll keep trying. It's a tough course too! My swing has been super inconsistent and over hit too many putts. My first 2 rounds - I've been +3 after the first 3 holes. Need to learn from my mistakes. Round 1: +2 Round 2: +1 |

I should have tried harder on the last round. When the game repeats the same thing, like a slow swing on the same hole as the previous round to the hazard, I lose interest very quickly. I think I was at -11 after 2 rounds and then -13? after 4 rounds. Why would you blame 'the game' for you making a bad swing on the same hole two rounds in a row? This mindset is alien to me. š¤· Maybe stay interested and try to make some better swings? I guess my comment wasn't as clear as it should have been. My swing is the same (at least I think it is lol), it is not fast or slow but down the middle for 90% of the time. What are the chances the exact same hole I get a slow swing and it goes into the hazard two rounds in a row? If anything my muscle memory would tell me to make sure it isn't slow and I would over-compensate and hit it fast. It's almost like the game is programmed for you to have one bad hole per round. |

Ended up finishing +9.
Round 1 +2
Round 2 +1
Round 3 +8
Round 4 -2
Some notes from my adventure:
- I was never better than +2 after the first 3 holes in each round (so tough)
- I always shot over par on the front 9 (probably partly due to the above point)
- Round 3 destroyed me and I thought all hope was lost
- Round 4 made me feel like I can actually get better! I shot -4 on the back 9.
Great course, but I hope I never play it ever again š

Yeah definitely. Iāll still continue to fast and slow my approach shots for sure š. The course definitely didnāt forgive poor play.

Rain in R3 makes this round basically unplayable for me on Xbox. Not sure why that would be added in a qualifying event. If you have series X or S go to settings/graphics. You can use slider for brightness. Mine set 175. Rd 3 I set to 250 as I had hard time seeing anything. |

The issue with rain isn't performance in this game - it is, as pointed out two posts above, that it makes the lighting ridiculously dark, and practically impossible to see anything.
The schedulers need to avoid it for that reason therefore.

The schedulers need to avoid it for that reason therefore. I can see how that would be a problem with some setups. Certainly, before I knew to adjust for HDR, the game looked very dark... Really dark. For me, the rain round played ok (perf) and on my screen, looked ok. The Twitch stream however, when watched back on a non HDR screen, did look very dark. |

Rd 1 even par Rd 2 -2 Rd3 +5  Rd 4 -5  All over the place in Rd 4 ( but had some terrible luck) and that was with an eagle. Rd 4 in control with 5 birds and nothing worse than par. Ended up in H division last time after slipping divisions but hoping for F , where I used to be. Just have to see Enjoyed the challenge |

I understand itās not the most difficultā¦ Every game has arcade aspects. Youāre welcome to make it as difficult as possible to fit your needs if you donāt like TGCT. I have no problem with TGCTours using the "tools" and settings provided. But I don't think it's accurate to imply that it's not arcade-ish while using all these aids/"tools". I'll be along eventually and take my place in the lower levels of the alphabet soup society. Although this year I was considering playing all society rounds gridless, which very well could mean I won't be able to get a card. But that's ok. I'll just play alongside the various societies and TST and probably even play alongside the Beer League (really needs a better name) because as an old Links player, I enjoy 3-click. Cheers. š Interestingā¦ I use to play True sim so I understand the tgct main tours arenāt as tough as it gets. Sim is very challenging and still not as hard as real golf. My point when saying itās a sim game was itās the closest to real golf than any other game Iāve played. Other golf games Iāve played in the past were a lot more arcade ish. 2k has similar aspects to real golf imo. If that makes senseā¦ |
