What about players like me who have never played a master difficulty round or even seen a master swing in all 5 years or so of TGC? I shot +84 in the master practice tournament last week. I don't want to go to Beer League because I do not want to use the 3 click swing.

I'm not sure if there is a cut-off score wise, but if not, and you use a conservative # of 100 people/society or tier, there would be over 1400 spots available (assuming CC is A-L still). If 1400 people don't complete qualifying ahead of you, then I guess you'd be in regardless. Again, not sure if there is a score cut-off. Or you could wait until the season starts and then try to qualifying. Unless they've changed the rules, weekly qualifying is done out of the CC society, which usually is an easier course/set-up than Q-school, imo. |

I played all 4 rounds. But never registered to play in the qualifier  .. ouch Well , I guess I will use it as practice and try next week |

Most likely an oversight they forgot to remove for this event. Has happened in the past if I remember right. But I'm old and can hardly remember what we are talking about right now

I see an error in the instructions listed in the link in the above post, it states the qualification event is being held in the challenge circuit society instead of the special events society.

Play your rounds. if you don't show on the leaderboard then you can send an email to support. Doyley did say you can play then register in that order so if a problem happens it can be sorted. Weird though as it appears everyone had to register for this. This qschool event is found in the TGCTours Special Event society. Just search for TGCTours when searching societies and it will come up with all the ones they have. Pick special events. |
