Played 2 rounds of Plat on Legend:
Round 1: +1
Round 2: -4
A lot more fun to play than I expected actually, really had to concentrate. I also played the first round of Elite and shot -9 I think. I am a player where I feel Master is too easy and Legendary is a little too hard for my skill, but both were fun. I was Plat last year and I would have no problems with Legendary if i get there again. I may be lynched, but if we do go the legendary route, having the lie grid back would be a huge help. I don't know if I hit a perfect tempo but maybe once, but I noticed that seemed to shoot the ball a off line a little more based on my lie.
Looking forward to trying out some more of the exhibitions tonight.

Whoever posted how to see the elevation and distance in the HUD, I think it was Cecil Harvey thank you. I had been wondering that and did not catch the important message either!
Was able to get a couple more rounds in last night. Loving this version of the game so far, even though I only got 8 hours in it, and still have not tried fittings or skills. Still just trying to get the base swing downpat.
Only things I remember noticing- (PC Player, casual style, but prefer harder settings than most)
On the CC tour, I seemed to have lag this time. Did not notice it the first time night I played, same course, and did not notice it on Kinetic later. Same night, did not shut down and restart the game, went from one to the other. But the CC course, last night, for me, was choppy.
I'm doing better on the Kinetic than I am on the CC. On CC, my scores are exactly the same, through 3 rounds. On Kinetic, I started very high, improving each round, significantly.
I like the option someone has suggested of making it where we can select which level we want to play at. Like, I'm bottom tier, but I prefer to play master type settings.

Well thats 7th out of 7 that have played and was only like 58 shots behind the leader... I had moments of good shots then moments of "how did I get over here" ha ha
Loving the new game, it has a way to shoot for everyone

I’m better off on legend swing that probably amateur on 3 click lol it’s so fast. |

My scores were not spectacular, but just because I was trying different shots and options around the greens, with horrible results  Regarding locking ball types at societies: I saw a recap video from TheApexHound (who of course was trusted by 2K to test the game the first and who will for sure be listened by them) and he noted this as THE biggest defect they have to get fixed. I would rather bet on it, it is absurd that it is not possible right now. |

Played the platinum event...I'll NEVER be on that tour, at least it doesn't look like it now. Played Elite and Kinetic...was better, but not by much. I think Master is the way to go for Elite and Kinetic. I haven't played anything on Pro, just don't think that will be what we go with on the tiers that aren't platinum. I tried 3 click on Legend and that might be harder than the analog swing...WOW! As far as TGCT and the golf balls...I only played with them to achieve a trophy as I'm trying to Platinum the game...but I DON'T LIKE THAT AT ALL!! The ball stuck to the green like it was landing in the mud every time. The putting was slowed way down and was just not fun at all. I hope we can all agree on just using the standard, generic golf ball for TGCT |

Played 2 rounds so far of Plat on Legend (PS5): Round 1: +6 Round 2: -1 I think Doyley said it in his initial review, but Legend is clearly a very' hard setting, but it's fair enough that it remains fun. I'm a level 24, with barely any orange fittings and I found it to be challenging, but fair and fun on Legend. Seems to me like it's the perfect setting to test the top tier TGC players and also keep the scores lower as there won't be straight line and perfects on every single swing. I also played a round on Elite/Master and while it was fun, it felt very much "the same" as the last game, where you're going to have a lot of people shooting in the -12 to -15 range by the tie their characters are fully upgraded (maxed out). |

I like the consumable golf balls. The game seems to be designed with them in mind.
I don't think we need them, and I don't like that some people will have access to them while others won't (based on either $$ or time in-game), but they're kind of fun to have in the game.
Considering the slippery greens in this game and the general difficulty, I hope the golf courses get toned down so that we don't need a friction golf ball to prevent missed putts from rolling off greens.

The problem is that single player is an absolute grind in this game. I haven't even played a player created course yet because of the mediocre career mode. I feel no immersion, just feels like playing against it a fictional leaderboard. I have to turn off the highlights because they are just awful. Should never be forced on people who prefer society play in the game. Luckily I'm 1 skill away from the passive skills as the triggered skills are too arcade for my liking. I have also fitted most clubs. |
