I would say it's not playable personally. And it defaults to fidelity. I actually restarted the game at first thinking my console was lagging. It's really stuttery on that mode. Edit: fidelity looks good but obviously the animations etc suffer from lack of frames. So TGCTours will be PS and PC centric once again.... I would imagine it'll look the same on PS5 on performance mode. It played absolutely fine on Xbox, admittedly with the same polling points we've always had I think. It just looks like a 360 game if you focus on anything beyond 100 yards away haha

I don't particularly like the animation with the chipping and putting myself. The takeaway starts too late instead of being in sync with moving the stick back.

That's a good shout there is a delay between moving the stick and the animation starting. Surprisingly I still found it ok to judge distance on them but I agree it would feel better if it matched when you moved.

Just played 4 rounds on the Kornferry Tour (XBOX). quite disapointed with it. the take away on the putting bar is jerky and shudders on the pull back. I'm fearing that this game has once again been sold and it is not tested for consoles, just the same as 2K 21, not a finished product.

In terms of the game itself with default equipment I can totally relate to Doyley's original post. It's really good and I agree with everything in that post.
The more I look at fittings, balls builds etc I really do fear TGC Tours will be markedly different this time around if they don't introduce the ability for societies to lock certain equipment.
Fwiw though I really don't think they'll scale this stuff back. Feels like the series are targeting a very different audience from here on.
My one saving grace is that the small scale true sim societies I play in on xbox can just go invite only in settings and use the honour system for us all to use the same equipment.
Here's hoping when the dust settles there's some give and take from the devs.

I think the balls will stay the same, why would 2K change them, they want people to feel as though they need them and to spend real money on them. Just don't understand why people will feel the need to buy them, because there is no pay to win, there is nothing to win because there is no leader board. This game gets worse every iteration instead of getting better. I would sack/let go the guy who thought getting shut of the leader boards was a good idea, these people at HB/2K are brain dead.

That does not bode well for any society, TGCTOURS included.

I watched Andre his stream on YouTube and there are no leaderboards...that's a big disappointment. Online competitive has no leaderboard whatsoever. Dont understand why 2K left this out in the game. I do like the archetypes, but I dont like the golfball sleeves or whatever. You have to buy golfballs with vc to play the game? Typical 2K. Moneywankers. Pay to play...that's what it is!

The balls should stay the same, but I would get rid of the roll attribute altogether. It doesn't do anything outside of the silly green speed change. The roll out on other types of shots is dependent on the shot type, distance, spin rate, wind etc, not this idiotic idea that the ball type changes how fast it rolls on the green.

Just played my second rd and shot -3 on series x. No graphics issues or framerate problems. Short game swings are all twitcy very unsmooth. Getting used to puttin as it is similar to 2k21 at release. I rufuse to use what they call skills and I call dumbing down to make game simple. Sticking with default ball also. Overall I like game. Used master swing and feel no need to calibrate.

We want our GOLF CLUB back! None of this gimmicky nonsense!! Not that bad. The game play is actually good. If you were a splash shot addict in the old game then you better hit the range and practice those partials with the chips. And for me if I was on the fringe and with 10 I’d go to the putter.

Not ideal at all and ridiculous you have to resort to it. But it's an option. A sh%$ one admittedly haha
