Anyone else noticing the massive drop in graphics when you switch to 60fps? It looks waaaay worse than 21 on performance mode. And that's on the next gen version. Really disappointing. Everything looks good up close on performance but the green in the distance is almost a total blur and it's genuinely tough to see the pin from the fairway on occasion.

I'll definitely keep this in my pocket when I start my play. This game should not be worse graphically vs 2K21 when both games can be played at 60 FPS on the current console generations. Taking out the Depth of Field and possibly other options that console players previously had as an option seems to be a detriment, and I have no idea why they excluded it when PC/steam have basically unlimited options. |

If you play with a ghost, can you see what green speed they're putting on? Thinking it could at least be community policed if tgc said default balls only or something.

Thinking it could at least be community policed if tgc said default balls only or something.With coding, it is a theoretical option (but I think as a last resort) for TGCT to deny any scores unless they play with X or Y Ball options. I only base this off of the fact that we had multiple options for swing difficulty options in previous games. At the top tiers (Top 3 tours), scores were only accepted by the highest swing option/difficulty due to coding at the TGCT end, but multiple swing difficulties were accepted at the CC levels. This may or may not be a thing currently (I think this is a last resort option here, and should be looked at as a last option). There is no guarantee that TGCT will have full access to API data that includes what ball they use. The simpler, and easier option is to simply ask HB/2K to have the ball sleeves option denied in Society play if the Society owner wants it. We shall see if that happens. |

I really like the short game changes, bunkers are hazards again, the swing feels responsive on all shots, putting is absolutely fantastic. The balls are a massive issue but as it is I'm pretty happy that if it comes to it I will easily get my money's worth just from private matches with the guys. I just really hope the patch performance mode visuals. They are absolutely rotten on Series X.

Well I think I will be watching a few videos and reading up on here before I buy it. Was really looking forward to it as well. |

Was really looking forward to it as well. On the reverse end, gdog (I think, but pretty sure) found the ball with the least roll stat, and very fast greens went to 199 speed. It has no basis in reality that a ball can change green speeds. The above is a simplification as other balls can also change a fast green (bounce) setup into a slower one. This effectively can change a bouncy green into an acceptable one, etc. etc. |

Most of my play will be in-game, off-line career mode. I will be striving to play the TGC Tours, but I am a bit concerned about the consumables. While playing my way, I'll stick to default balls and whatever clubs I manage to purchase with VCs. I'm just hoping I don't wallow in the CC-L tier because I refuse to "keep up with the Joneses" by fidgeting with special balls and consumables. |

That’s disappointing that the series X visuals are poor, is it playable on fidelity mode & how does that look compared to 2k21..? I would say it's not playable personally. And it defaults to fidelity. I actually restarted the game at first thinking my console was lagging. It's really stuttery on that mode. Edit: fidelity looks good but obviously the animations etc suffer from lack of frames. |
