Respawn is fully in the 2K camp & will not speak negatively about the game in almost any way so I wouldn’t worry too much. That being said I enjoy the videos he puts together & have got some decent information from them. Trust me. The news is bad How long do we have before we can ask for a refund?

How long do we have before we can ask for a refund? If ‘Pay to Win’ is in every aspect of this game I hope you all do the right thing & cancel your preorder.

Strikes me as sarcasm, if not I'd rather the guys were open rather than a bit click-baity tbh
Edit: just been told NDA is still in effect. My bad. Hopefully we find out early enough to cancel pre-orders if it's as bad as it seems.

Great video by respawntv comparing some aspects of 2K23 vs 2K21. Well done! Really informative video although I’m not convinced the swing animation is better from a genuine technical capacity in relation to real life; In the new game the avatar gets the club way across the line at the top which is indicative of a very inside backswing whilst 2k21 the club is in a more orthodox position at the top (I.e. almost hiding behind the hands, even though the clubface is slightly weak / open). If you watch most top tour players, there’s only a few who get the club across the line, most modern players prefer to have the club similar to 2k21 or even slightly laid off at the top. Not convinced that’s a step forward for the animation moving to a swing animation you’re more a likely to see amateurs adopt

Going to stick my neck on the line and say I'm fairly certain it's the consumable balls.
I'd wager currency is hard enough to come by that you can't go mental in buying them without spending actual cash, and they're JUST enough of an advantage to be problematic but not obviously pay-to-win. Even though they absolutely will be.
That's my prediction, anyway.

I would hazard a guess and say it’s not game breaking if you only play against your friends or practice rounds or the PGA tour single player but it might be detrimental to a level playing field on TGC tours.

I would hazard a guess and say it’s not game breaking if you only play against your friends or practice rounds or the PGA tour single player but it might be detrimental to a level playing field on TGC tours. I suppose it'll depend on how big an advantage they give, can they be bought with in game currency, how hard is that to earn etc. But I agree Les if it is that, and they are advantageous, it sounds awful to me. Like playing on Xbox it's tough enough without possibly going up against players with one-time use advantages. Honestly I'm not sure I could even be bothered with the game in that case. Also, even if it's not the balls. Why are the balls one-time use? I can't see any reason from a gameplay perspective for that to be the case other than to make money. And I do wonder how the next makers feel having been asked to make videos on an early / limited build only to be blindsided by something like this the day before release. Typical HB silence and let everyone else do the marketing for them with only half a game. They make enjoyable games but by Christ they're incredibly anti-consumer in how they operate.

Not sure why this would be "news" it was always known that "vc" could used to buy consumable balls, and you could always buy "vc" with real money.....
