Series S is only 12GB, about 2GB more than the old gen version. I made the mistake of pre-downloading both versions. Might be a mistake on store but it says 21 GB for this device when viewing on a series X. Probably right for Series X as its files are usually larger due to the 4K resolution. |

After hearing of all the possible issues with 2k23 from the influencers I was skeptical on a preorder. However, I noticed yesterday the GB's nearly doubled when I looked in the xbox store. So it's done, I went and slapped down $120 on the top version. Looking forward to Tuesday. Let it Rip!I’m on the fence with 2K23 until I see some opinion on XS version but noticed the standard edition for base hardware is less than 10GB which is as expected but the XS comes in at 21GB. Should be a marked difference between the two but I’m not buying until I’ve seen it running. The folk paying extra for 3 day early release is going to be the tell for me. As I've said all along, 2k21 was reviewed by testers and all good......then game came out |

Simply released in a hurry and patched to bits. Surely you remember that. |

Fired up the PS4 just now to watch a bit of the shriners before I head off to play myself, and the new game decided to start downloading. I've paused it so it doesn't stuff the stream quality but I'll continue it when I head out. I wonder if it'll let me play it once it's done 🤔

Maybe some of the shaping and lofting goes too far but some of the flight and bounce physics are greatly improved, I only use a minimum of loft and shaping so won't effect my game. I agree there are arcade elements like skills that I probably won't use anyway. I don't like the leveling up your golfer, would rather just pick a archetype and stick with it. But talking about arcade is it possible to get more arcade that 2K21's splash from heavy rough and short chipping. The scrambling in 2K23 looks massively improved as does rollout on greens. I think the skills and fittings aspects are there because this time around all the branded clubs are uniform and perform the same and each club has the same characteristics and changing brand only becomes a cosmetic change, so everyone is not all rushing to buy the Bridgestone to get the longest distance off the tee.. The archetype you select sets the base performance for your player, you can add elements of skill settings (up to combined 50 pts) and then add the fittings to your clubs to to tweak them and fine tune them, much like you would in real life to suit your swing and play style. It seems like there will be a myriad of options for players to delve in to instead of folks just levelling up to buy the longest driver and most controllable irons (like in 2K21) and the swing and clubs will become a more personal thing. One mans My Player setup may not work for a lot of other people. Only time will tell how well this all works, but at least HB and 2K (maybe under some guidance from TW himself) have tried something different and not just given us the same options we had in 2K21. |

Respawn is fully in the 2K camp & will not speak negatively about the game in almost any way so I wouldn’t worry too much. That being said I enjoy the videos he puts together & have got some decent information from them. |
