Dear TST enthusiasts, This is the last week before the FedEX playoffs! So, time for you to score some points to secure your place in week 46 - the first playoff tournament - by being in the top 125 of the FedEX standings. However, if you don't make it, don't despair - everybody can still play the tournament and compete in their own flight. More info on that was in last week's flight and it will all become skoader-clear next week anyway... As for this final regular tournament week: Some very, very tricky greens on this course - Sedgefield Country Club, annual home to the IRL Wyndham Championship. Therefore, I've asked the Greenskeeper to try whatever he can do to keep them playable. Some of you will still hate me though... and that's fine; I just have to schedule this one because I love this course and think it's one of the best on the roster. Have fun and good luck, Frans

Sweating on whether I've sneaked a promotion to Hogan but at this rate I'll soon be back where I belong. Stunner of a course and sadly I wasn't really man enough for it. Huffed and puffed to -8 for the tourny with really only 1 round where I looked as though I knew what I was doing. A very enjoyable poor score though, sometimes the fun is just taking part. Fed-Ex? Only hope is a surprise announcement that the field is being extended to the top 250!! Brown envelope full of cash winging it's way to the Netherlands as we speak. Thank heaven for skoader

Wow what a course this week. Greens are the immediately obvious test - and what a test they are! - but I also thought it asked a lot in terms of strategy. First round I felt like I hit more three woods off the tee than I have in months. And it looks fantastic. Great pick Frans. Delighted to start with a -12 and hopefully can carry that through the rest of the week. A few DNF's dropped me down into the second division but a strong week last week got rid of my demo's. Hoping to ride the wave through the playoffs for a late push back to Nicklaus. Play well!

Something like not allowed into any flight leaderboard the next week or something. The way it stands DNFโers are getting relegated into divisions they are too good for.

Iirc it used to work that way on TST where a DNF meant you missed the next two or three weeks (I might be misremembering). Maybe a compromise would be first DNF is demo's and any subsequent ones without finishing a week in between results in a temporary ban from the boards? Just to be clear though - in case it's needed - I wasn't intentionally dropping down. Just had a mad few weeks in my personal life. The day I'm too good for the second flight on here is the day I've made it! Haha

Not at pop at you Craig, life gets in the way sometimes. I didn't think so mate just in case it seemed like I was. Totally understand how frustrating it would be for people trying to work up if there is intentional manipulation. My goal is always to match Horus 'The Machine' Phoenix on Xbox every week and the rest will follow

We have given it a lot of thought and discussed at length - decided against additional punishment in the end. Weโll look into it again before the new season.

Disaster first round in which my approach shots were off and my putter tested how much I could take. Much better second round but left myself in a position in which catching some of those above me after round 1 will be very, very difficultโฆ
Round 1: -4 ๐คฎ Round 2: -12 ๐

Gonna have to sit this week out, I'm going away on a golf trip on Thursday and there's not enough time to get Elite and these rounds in, even though I'll probably miss the cut over there and be down the bottom of the leaderboard.

Another weekend foray for me, just the one round again. At this point, feels like a new habit forming up for the rest of the season.
Have some business to take care of with this course from last year. It ended my season then, it damn near ended my sanity, damn near made me want to stop playing entirely because of how terrible I was. (granted, it was the fault of the player then and not the course, but I'll be damned if I start blaming myself for anything!)
I also realized through a quick glance that I'm pushing for week 2 of overall playoffs, being one of top 125 players and on the wrong side of the 70 line although barely. Shows how much a few good weeks somewhere down the line gets ya. So I guess it's motivation enough, and I don't know what I've had today but felt like I actually knew what the hell I was doing to start this week off on this tough course. Finished -7 for a respectable score, could have been 8 had I not slipped up on one easy opportunity that ended up hitting me with a bogey. Like honest to god, it felt like one of my better rounds in a long time and I wonder if there's a turn in form incoming just in time when it matters most. Still doubtful, but decent start at least!
Cheers, and good luck!

Made a couple of great putts for birdie, holes three and four ๐. Three putted the next hole ๐ฃ par five and the easiest hole on the course ๐ . Four putted the ninth hole for a six ๐. Managed to keep the bogeyman off my scorecard on the back nine ๐. Happy with my minus three on these tough greens and not so forgiving fairways. A nice looking course but i don't think the course will be nice to me ๐. Goodluck everyone ๐.

Still didn't birdie the easiest hole on the course and finding the water with my tee shot on hole six and seven ๐,but lucky to get away with bogey on six and seven ๐. Bogeyman got me again on two holes on the back nine. Just about managed to hold onto my minus one score for the round ๐. I will be lucky if i finish this tournament under par ๐ฌ.

After reading the above comments I had plenty of trepidation going into the first round of this one. But after a couple of holes I was looking good, feeling okay, under par, already in a death spiral. After about 7 holes I was +3 and with my timing way off beam I suspected I was going to card a total like a telephone number. But I managed to steady the ship somewhat on the back nine, and finally just sneaked under par and signed for -1.
Round 2 I had a better idea what to expect, but I also put in more effort to get my wayward timing under control. As a result I carded -6 for a halfway total of -7, which I'm hoping will leave me at least a little above the potential demo zone.
Two down, two to go. If the winds and/or green speed get turned up in the remaining rounds I could well be cooked, but what the hell it's all an existential nightmare, rampant masochism, soul-shredding torture, good clean fun.
