Introducing Amohalko Springs (Oklahoma spelled backward), my entry into the National Treasure contest 2022 representing Oklahoma, the proud "Sooner" state. Oklahoma takes its name from the Choctaw language with "okla" and "homma" referring to a brave or honourable people. Amohalko Springs is a rich new layout rivalling the infamous Southern Hills. Located in the lush south eastern section of the state bordering Arkansas, it is snuggled into the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains and uses the Red River and Little River tributary to provide scenic views throughout the property. Amohalko designers took full advantage of the fact that Oklahoma boasts more man made dams than any other state in the U.S.A., creating gently flowing streams and breathtaking lakes. The course offers up four tee and four pin locations over 7,193 yards from the back gold tees. Five par 3's, four par 5's, and nine par 4's are strategically placed to test your best game. Medium to high (East or Southeast) winds may provide the golfer the best playing experience. The property is well planted with indigenous mature elm, oak, maple, and sycamores and peppered with natural red sand bunkers. Enjoy your golfing experience at Amohalko Springs. Thank you to the organizers and judges of National Treasure giving up their time. Good luck to all fellow competitors. All feedback for Amohalko Springs is open and welcome. Troy (retteach)

The server gods have finally let me play! I enjoyed my round here, a real good environment created. Definitely has the Southern Hills feel. My personally critique on it is I feel some of the centerline hazards with fairway on both sides was over-utilized a bit. By the 15th hole it felt a bit repetitive. But still overall a fun track for sure!

It’s a great course, really beautiful and not too punishing whilst still giving a solid challenge. Nice work.

Really enjoyed my round on this course. The environment was great, the framing was superb, and I enjoyed the strategies done here. My only dislikes about the course was not being able to see the green on hole #11 and the unclear advantages I would get off the tee on that split fairway on hole #13. Other than that its a great course! well done!

Gave Amohalko Springs a play today and thought it a fine course. Environment was stunning. Found the front a bit easier than the back, but that's pretty meaningless since I was putting way out of my normal outcome. I was draining everything from 20ft plus, not my usual game. The back nine brought me back to earth. Great course, best of luck in the competition.

Such a pure environment. The rock work along the waterways is superb. I took some liberties with using other fairways and liked the option of selecting a side of the centreline hazards. Unlucky on 5, probably lucky on 18.
