Just curious. Do you guys have a strategy? I am just playing My Career to get VC. Me too mostly Bill, playing TGCtour settings except occaisionally play a PGA tourney using beginner settings so I can make sure I stay in the top 25.

Just curious. Do you guys have a strategy? I am just playing My Career to get VC. Really bored with career but nearly finished first season. Started to play pro half way through so that I generally won . Bit of a cheat but you get the sponsorship levels flying up and your rivals stuff. XP less than on Masters setting but rewards make up for it.

It's a little cheesy, but whatever. The xp difference isn't even that much, I don't think. Something like 100? The loss if you go from a full sponsor reputation meter to an empty one is like 3-4 tournaments worth of progress. As I've said, I'm almost done with the bigger goals in the mode, but I figure in rounds when my score gets to like +6, I'm keeping a close eye on my position. My aim is to maintain a spot in/near the top 40% of the field. If I have to flip the difficulty to stop the bleeding on the back nine? So be it. There's plenty of time in the future to play the career "legit" if people want to. Right now efficiency is key.

I'm also up for playing the next Dirtbags season.
I've been grinding away at career mode on pro swing with very easy AI just to build up VC and collect fittings, although I am still using the basic club setup at the moment. Completed one season, just starting another so I can max out the sponsor rewards and such, and once I've reached level 50 and have as many fittings as I can accumulate I plan to start adding them on and switch to master swing. I already tried master for a few rounds last week and it made a monkey of me, so I'm hoping using fittings will take some of the sting out of it.
Looking forward to the new TGC season, but since it's 99% confirmed to be on master I can see already that there are some dark days ahead of me. Oh, and I agree with Darren that we should wait a few weeks into the season before advertising for new players. That will also give a bit more time for some tier stability after the Qualifying rounds.

Some of you guys going to lower swing difficulties to get through the rewards, there's an alternative.
I didn't even notice the separate tab when setting up the difficulty, but in the Settings, you can change them even more than just "Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard". I have the CPU Skill set at 60% and through 5 rounds on my current season, the AI shot +6 once, usually the AI leader is at +7 or +8.
You can practice on the ordinary swing difficulty and just drop the AI to oblivion and then not have to worry about losing sponsors/rivalries.
Now why couldn't they just have a slider for OUR difficulty? I find Master better in this game than last and Pro is also easier but I feel like say 2/3 of the way from Pro to Master would have been a pretty playable sweet spot for people of multiple skill levels.

Hello fellas, hope the offseason has treated everyone well.
I've been mostly grinding the career mode as I've found you can level up and get fittings faster which I'll need to compete on Tours and such. I found I can score decently on Master with the rhythm swing and then using all the adaptations for distance.
The major adjustment I noticed when toggling between the myCareer and TGC exhibition events is course conditions and difficulty, so I recently raised that up so I'm not in for a rude awakening with fast/firm greens and wind. The nice thing was that the opponent scoring appeared to adjust along with that, and I'm at a good place of difficulty / keeping it interesting where I win maybe half the events and almost all the rivalries (no point repeating those, and turning off those replays was a godsend). I'm not through the first season yet though and can already tell I'm going to get bored...hopefully it coincides with having most of what I need and real events firing up around here.

Rivalries looping back around is actually a good thing, because instead of mostly cosmetics through the 1st pass, they give you a fitting/sleeve/tokens when you win rematches. Not sure if it's just random which you get, but it's not a bad bonus for a round if you win. Then again, you have to play that mode, meaning dealing with the same rotation of sameness + all the lag that comes with it.

Why can I not pick up the society in new game?

There's not a separate society. Barring any major changes, it's just been playing the TGCT CC society tournament and then using those scores for the team format in here.

Not that anyone asked but ....my game needs a lot of work. I go from shooting 83 at Rivera and losing all my sponsors to winning at Sawgrass . Still had only one sponsor get back on board with me. I have played a few TGCT rounds but am mainly sticking to the My Career mode due to the obvious. -I am assuming everyone is still using the vibration for putting. I liked last season putting better. -I am really struggling with swing tempo. 90% of my swings are fast. Suggestions? -I would like to say I have a 'best' facet of my game but I don't. Putting so far is my strong suit. I like the suggestions you guys have given and would like to hear how you guys are doing. Lastly, I am still confused as to the clubhouse, fittings and all that. Good luck as the season approaches!

Having scores yo-yo in Career mode is not uncommon. I had a run one season where I went like win-100th-win-100th-win. Some of the courses simply do not run well in that mode. I've played a couple of those courses outside of Career and they seemed ok, but maybe those were the ones that actually are smooth, I don't recall. There's no variation of difficulty of course/conditions in there that would make that seem normal.
This game I actually left the vibration on for about half a dozen levels. I tried, but I don't like it at all. When I first turned it off, I still would activate it for some particularly nasty partial shots, but I've just kind of largely phased partials out of my game.
You said you're mostly playing Career, but have you the same tempo issues outside of it? I'll still have my swing fall into a slump at times and maybe for an entire round, but those I can generally "feel" how my swing is misaligned rather than tempo roulette.

gordyberry My tempo issues are the same regardless of whereI play. Might not be the same problem, but I notice an issue I have at times is my grip. My left hand (I use left stick) will sometimes start to move up towards the shoulder buttons. This can cause my swings (when the swing path is good) to end up a bit "snappier" because I feel like I'm swinging across more and thus the fast swings. It also results in a lot of swings that are good tempo, but pushes towards the outer edge of the gray. Again, this is just for me but I've found the swing to be a little more delicate than what I remember from 21. This could be the change from using DS4 to Dual Sense as well. This is why I had hoped to be able to test things on the PS4 version, but a lot of stuff doesn't transfer over - fittings, etc. are there, but I'm not paying several thousand tokens again to equip them just for an experiment. I don't know if it's a bug, but it's so low priority compared to other things that need fixed/addressed.

Good luck as the season approaches! I've never used vibration for anything - I've never found it reliable. I just use practice swings on the longer putts to get a feel for where to start the downswing. If your 90% 'thing' is a slightly fast tempo, mine is a slight push shot - either you can try to fix it or embrace it and adjust your aim appropriately! I do find it annoying that the sponsors are so fickle and will drop you like a hot potato after 1 or 2 bad rounds.
