Am I reading it correct that if you own a ps5 you need to buy the deluxe version to be able to play your friends with ps4s

Maybe golf is not even included?? Am I the only one that finds all this nonsense depressing? These tweets and such aren't aimed at us here...this is for those who might never consider a golf game, but saw a tweet with their favorite rapper, musician, etc. in it. While I wouldn't say it's depressing, it is just a bit of a waste for all of us who are more interested in actual gameplay changes and course designer upgrades, etc. Honestly, I would expect this is a post related to the soundtrack or something, as ScHoolboy Q is a rapper who does like to play golf. Yeah, I understand- I just worry about them forgetting about golf while worrying about all this nonsense |

Yes, but the info they provided specifically calls out the following..."test your skills against your friends in Divot Derby and Casual mode." There isn't a dedicated "Casual mode" in 2K21. This makes it sound like 2K23 will have a separate game mode devoted to playing the game "casually". I am just curious what that means, and I also know that any way of making the game more "casual" usually goes over like a lead balloon in these parts. It probably means all aids on. This game is really casual on lower settings and all the aids on. That's probably all it means. Super easy mode with swing meter, vibration assist ,putt previews. That stupid option where you can't overswing the club when you set your intent, probably no swing timing also. Rounds of 20 under for the casuals, so they can feel like they are superior to any real life pro. 😉 Typical "ad-speak", much like them touting courses created will be cross-platform ... THEY ALREADY ARE, LOL, and they don't even imply that you'll be able to share non-published designs, yet I've seen some people thinking it explicity said it. |

Maybe golf cart racing is included? WTF is that? Let's switch things up? Really?!? I will not hold out hope for a better, less buggy, version. No pre-order this time for me. I'll wait a week or so to see how it plays before I really make up my mind. Sorry, complete lack of faith and trust in how HB/2K handled the issues from the last version. Over reaction, maybe. |

I think deep down they are betting that the regular golf players will buy and they want some extra $60-90 rings in their sales basket. |

I'll definitely buy the new game, probably the EA one as well. I just hope HB fixes the drop mechanic and allows us to create our own tournament schedule with user-created courses.

So everyone should still be able to play together but it'll have to be on the standard version. That's how Fifa works, and the deluxe says something about 'cross gen compatibility'. |
