I'm going to make a tropical theme course next, I've never used this theme before. I'm not crazy about the fringe around the inside of the bunkers but I'll see how I go with that. It's inspired by Thai islands, I lived in Thailand for a few years. This hole below is on the water, but I want most of the course to be away from the oceanside, more through forests and headlands, some lakes. I don't know, I just take it one hole at a time. I'm also working slowly on a RCR but that's slow going. One hole built so far:  |

Looks great! The first course I ever published was Santiburi on Koh Samui. My first foray into the designer. The tour version was a republish to clean up some of the problems.

Theme switch from tropical to delta. Just don't like those tropical bunkers at all! I'm very happy to discover that the background is the same, I've set up a bunch of sightlines to take advantage of the beaches in the background and those all remain the same, which is nice.

I may be wrong, but I think if you like the theme of tropical but just want to change the bunkers, you can change bunker color in the "Course Settings" page, under the "Settings" tab of the designer. |

Hey mate thanks, but it's not the sand colour that I have an issue with, it's how the bunker edges look and behave. In tropical the bunkers have this edging of rougher terrain and the lips are very difficult to prevent from being wavy. Delta has much cleaner crisper lips, which is the look I'm going for. I don't know what that tropical bunker edging is supposed to represent, and I don't know how to use then properly. If anyone knows of a tropical theme course where the bunkers are done really well (where the bunker edges are not planted out) please let me know, I'm interested in checking it out. |

 Well after a bit of a hiatus this one is back on. I've now got 17 (almost) playable holes. Still a hell of a lot of work to do on it, maybe a month or so I reckon.  |

Looking good Fargo. I agree that the tropical theme bunker lips do not look good. Let's hope the designer in PGA 2K23 gives designers a bit a more freedom - by being able to change bunker lip styles just like backgrounds, etc.
I too will be publishing a tropical theme course in the near future. Unfortunately I go berserk with the clubhouse and resort buildings object quota so need all the free palm trees I can get.
