In UK, are your time at normal or is clock moved an hour up currently?

Picked my wagon for tomorrow, weighing in at a hefty 588 PP - closest i have to 600 without going over, sport mediums will make the 10 laps easy. Too much head scratching to tune/change these cars' settings (you'd think them PS brigade would have discovered and stepped up to a mouse and keyboard by now, it is 2022 after all ) - wanted to pick a 609pp car and add ballast to make it 600 flat but can't figure how to actually change the damn weight setting. Funny part is i did manage to do that a while ago on another car, but now can't figure it out again pffft. Old age catching up from time to time. (surely one does not have to buy new ballast for every different car one wants to add weight, game just can't be THAT inflexible) Ben's suggested 7 am tomorrow changing to 8 am next week won't affect my starting time at all, i'm ok with that!

This will be the first time that I've set anything like this, so it's a learning curve for this old fart. What I have gathered so far is that in multi player, a search for Brew Crew Racing should find us . There's a button which should bring up the lobbies with your friends in . Not sure about chat in game , have a mic , but as of yet haven't found where in plugs in on G29, probably have to take the wheel off the stand to plug in with all the other cables. I guessing that if I plug it into the standard controller it will still work if I'm using the wheel as well . We'll see how it goes tomorrow

Ye, headset gets plugged into the little PS controller (i do it after i started game), press and hold the PS button on controller until popup comes, go to sound and audio settings and change to ALL Audio - default was on just chat audio with me. Then you should be able to hear chat and car sounds just on headset. If you just have mic and no headset, then maybe all audio not gonna work great, dunno
I found the lobby tab today, yay, took a gander and noticed the friends only tab, should be ok tomorrow to find the server

If you buy the customisable ecu computer gismo from the tuning shop you can lower the power (it's called something like that, games uploading a update) That's I've done as the car I wanted to use was a tad over 600 pp . I can go with a 8 o'clock the week after , was looking at a time which hopefully will suit everyone

And Marc, yes to restrict power you have to buy the power restrictor and/or ballast for each vehicle. Fortunately it's not very expensive!

Thanks guys for the tip on the restrictor thingy. Didn't go down with out a glitch, no surprise there, anything more complicated than an unplugged toaster usually glitches for me, bought and installed the (correct) gizmo, found the little tab thingy where one reduces power, castrated that Italian stallion and no matter what the PP stayed the same. Even at 70% of the power that canary Ferrari still showed the stock 609PP. Back to the mechanic store, bought a different gizmo (top left on furthest left screen) that sounded also like it could manage power, bang, it immediately increased PP to 614pp without even touching the setup screen! Turns out i was looking at the wrong spot on the screen after each measure, left side i looked at is supposed to show original pp all the time. Thanks to my daughter who was fortunately watching and eventually asked me why am i going so far below 600 and i was ?? what you talking about?? Almost brought an untuned Fiat 500 to the fight!

Race report Brew Crew Racing at the Red Bull Ring Things when pretty well for a first lobby, the only problem I had, it took 3 goes to start the race after qualifying. Kept saying can't start race with one player, even although Marc was in the lobby Croc turned up with a Ferrari 430 while I had the Ktm. I got the jump on the start, but by the first corner Marc was in front and that was it with the Ferrari lapping 5-6 seconds faster than what I could manage with the Ktm. I knew that it was probably going to like after qualifying. Thanks for the Race Crazy Croc . Hopefully a few more can join us next week with a 8 o'clock start in BST which changes tonight. Summers coming

Thanks for hosting Paul. Turned out to be a bit of a car mismatch but we still trying to figure stuff out as we go along.
Has the potential to be good fun on a Saturday morning. More able bodies would be awesome.
Few things I missed and noticed:
1. No timing screen during practice/qualy? I had no idea what lap times Paul was doing at all. If there is a timing screen hidden behind a button press or something somewhere, please share!
2. Communication via controller typing is painful. Simple thing like good luck, have fun just before the race, by the time you finished typing the field is in turn 3 already. Having voice comms during practise etc would add tons of value.
3. Probably need to set races to a specific car and -tune settings to keep things equal. The 2 cars we picked today was a bit of a mismatch
4. Outlap during the practice/qualy was timed? 1st time i went on track the game credited me with a 1:37 which is impossible to achieve during a full lap.
5. Session always said 'practice', only realised we going to race when the 2 cars appeared side by side on the starting grid when the session changed.
6. There is an 'enter' button to the left of 'go to track' button. I thought this this how we start driving. I clicked on that and was told session is 'closed' or something. I then discovered the go to track, the enter button had changed from a green tick to a red cross and stayed that way. That might be the reason why Paul could not go to race for a few tries, game thinking he was alone perhaps. I eventually clicked on it again just because the red cross suggested something was wrong - inadvertently that prolly made it possible for Paul to advance session to Race. Had we been 3 guys on the server, maybe i would not not have been put on the grid while in red cross status, who knows?
I'll be back next Saturday for sure!

I’ll do all I can to get on next Saturday if we go for 8am BST. Not really been online on the PS4 since a couple of games of golf years ago!! Will try to figure it out. Looking at the info coming from GT they seem to have listened to the community so I shall be persevering!!
