Good day all!
I am building a new course, and while only having "completed" several holes on this new course, I have found that while my object percentage is at 12.5 percent, my memory is at 45.1 percent. There is a fair amount of land shifting and what not, but I haven't run into this issue before and I would prefer not deleting and starting over again.
Any thoughts on how to reduce the memory %?
Thanks in advance!

Memory should remain fairly constant or stagnant. Each time a new element that hasnt been loaded is placed then it will adjust slightly, but its just a one time shift (and super small to boot). You should be fine... That said I don't think I've ever crossed 40%...
The two meters most people needs to worry about are object meter and file size. There are ways to manipulate both, but that seems beyond the scope of the question

I don't think I have ever had an issue with that and the file size is currently 0.3%, so that isn't an issue either. But good to know that the memory should more than likely remain stagnant. Got a bit worried when I saw that it was fairly high, only a few holes into building the course. Thanks!

Thanks in advance! -Phillyfoto Every unique object you add to a course has to be stored into memory. Once an object is loaded into memory, it doesn't matter how many times that object is used on your course; it only has to be loaded into memory one time. When you choose a theme, the objects that are associated with that theme (certain trees, plants, grasses and rocks) are pre-loaded into memory.

Further to this - if you place a new object that you haven't used on your course yet, say a new piece of grass, that will be stored into the memory and will take up some of the metre. If you delete that piece of grass, and every instance of that asset from your course, the asset is still loaded into the memory and the metre will still be effected.
To remove that asset from the memory you can "delete all" which removes every instance of that asset from your course, removes it from your memory and therefore frees up some metre space.

This is great information! Unfortunately, I'm wondering how many objects I placed on my course to see if it looked right, then deleted. I went WAAAY overboard with the decorations on my third course and it has pushed my Memory meter to 78.8%. I wonder how much of that I could get back by using Delete All on items that I don't even have on my course??? The problem is, I'm not sure how to actually FIND those items.
On a related note... my Objects meter is 63.7% (and counting) and Memory is 78.8%. But my File Size is 4.3%. What on earth makes that last number go up?

<< The problem is, I'm not sure how to actually FIND those items. You can see all the items that you've placed by selecting trees (for example) and then hitting triangle button twice (on PS4 controller, or the PC and XBox equivalent). Then select a tree that you want to clear from memory, place one of them, and then delete all.
