Hey Everyone,
Unfortunately I missed the deadline for the Rookie Competition but I thought I'd still go ahead with my initial idea, so may I present to you, Iracampo.
The course is a par 70 and maxes out at 7,113 yards from the back tees. Well placed bunkers and tricky greens mean you'll have to think strategically to score well.
I recommend playing in medium/high winds from a northwesterly direction for a decent test of golf.
Any advice/feedback/playthroughs would be great!
P.S. There's a few templates thrown in for those that are that way inclined.
Enjoy your round at Iracampo.

Cool course like the template renditions. Just very solid all the way around, seemed technically good and some good holes. Only a few real minor things I would change personally, didn’t love. The drivable Lionsmouth seemed a bit forced and couldn’t find a reason not to go for it every time, no real danger. Think the worst case scenario is I go for it, hit rough on right or bunker and splash up close for birdie. The other wasn’t really a factor in your preferred wind, but the narrows template (17 I think) seems like you could just bomb it over and take the strategy out every time outside of this one specific wind. Green slopes were really good and fun course played well. I think planting was pretty good not great, maybe mix in a few other tree combos clump the treelines a little more. Tbh though I’m awful at planting personally so can’t give you really much advice there lol. Well done look forward to more from you.

Feedback I had from my other course was that it was a bit on the safe-side so I took a few more risks (4 being a prime example). Looking at 17, the thought was to lure the player in to bombing it over the bunkers only to leave an awkward up-hill pitch rather than a flatter full wedge if you lay back. I’m disappointed in the tree line and knew this wasn’t the best I could do, but I burnt through most of the meter on the waste areas and couldn't bring myself to tear them up so just went with what you saw. Thanks once again for the feedback and giving it a play.

Really cool vibes here and a lovely course with all the trees surrounding i.imgur.com/v4vYnZm.jpgWonderfully original clubhouse i.imgur.com/cQw5GdH.jpgGood elevation and undulations with some lovely planting keep it looking very real. The drivable par 4 4th is a lot of fun where I ended up on the wrong side of the lions mouth. Struggled up 5 and then made a mess of 6. Great risk/reward on 8 Love the ground game of the 15th. Nice pinched fairway on 17. Took note of the humpback fairway on 18 and just pulled my birdie putt, giving me a great view again of the clubhouse. Enjoyed my round and great course.
