Rd 2 -3 Not much help at all. Few lip outs but a lot of just miss putts that needed to drop. Did not even give myself a chance on par 5s as kept finding rough off drives. It was worse with only 1 bird and 1 bogey until 17th where i eagled it and a bird on 18. 4 5 5 3 4 2 5 4 4 4 4 3 4 5 3 4 2 4 bino819

Getting the Ryder Cup rosters organized now and I'll send around an update shortly. We have 19 confirmed right now so I need to see if I can find one more person, otherwise we're going to have to cut 3 people (sorry, not much I can do). Roster is below - I'm going to hold off another day or two before I have the captains pick teams because we need to figure out who the roster is that they're going to pick from. Paul Smith Josh Schaeffer Nigel Keatley Gordy Berry Jayden Engels Sean Prowse Darren Young Frank Mück Randy Zubowicz Daniel Oram Tomi Pihlman Phil Roberts Mike Bryan Mike Rubino Bill Owensby Christian Lieberg Chuck Gunsallus Paul Sandison Marc MacClovin For next season, we have 18 confirmed (I think, not sure if macclovin and sandi1726 were in for both or just the Ryder Cup). We need 6 more, or again, I'm going to have to drop the last 2 that responded (sorry again, don't know what else to do). If anyone has any suggestions so I don't have to leave people out, please let me know. That being said - anyone who doesn't end up in the Dirtbags for the season will be added to the subs list if they wish. With people wanting to play and not having the spots, we'll have a strict policy in place for missed rounds - if you can't play, you need to let someone know in advance. "No call/no show" will result in you being dropped from your team and substituted with someone else. Obviously life happens, but I just ask that you let us know and don't just miss your rounds with no heads up to anyone. We'll take a week off between Ryder Cup and next season so we can get organized and see if we can fill out the rosters. Going to make a post in the forum now. I have a friend who's in Platinum that I could ask, which I'll do tonight as well.

In Championship news, I'm updating the scoresheet now. I've also sent the Ryder Cup rosters off to the captains and hope to have the teams sent out in the next day or two with the full Ryder Cup rules.
We'll have two teams of 10 with a mix of pairs and singles play.

Oh hey, its me again. I post in bunches....anyways.... Round 1 was a whole lot of scrambling, as I only hit 11 greens for the round. But I made them count by making 7 birdies and an eagle to come in at -9. Round 2 was more of the same - hit 11 greens again but I converted those 11 GIRs into 11 birdies and only had 19 putts. My one mistake (and the game being stupid) came on the 7th hole when my second shot into the green on the par 5 sailed over the green and bounced down the hill into the water. No problem, right? Just get up and down from off the green for par. NOPE, not in PGA 2k21. It sent me back to where I was 250 yards from the green in the middle of the fairway. The drop rules in this game drive me mad - and yes, I could just simply not hit it in the water - but I'm not good enough for that. I picked up 3 birdies on holes that my partner did not birdie, which was good enough to get us the W in round 2. R1: -9 R2: -10
Now for the matchup and where we stand after two rounds - one look at the scorecard will tell you The Fore Fathers came to play. Shout out to Wutpa with his RIDICULOUS SEVENTEEN UNDER PAR in round 1, which combined with a -3 from Frank to earn a tie in the match. Mike and Mike won their first round matchup handedly, with 23 under par vs Tomi and Darren's -15. As for round 2, it was more great playing from The Fore Fathers. Despite Frank's -3 score, he was a huge help in earning that win by making a birdie on two holes that Nigel didn't, plus making a par on 10 when Nigel bogeyed. Good enough for a one stroke win. Mike and Mike also won their matchup - this time by two strokes - over Tomi and Darren. Heading into Rounds 3 and 4, Gone Fore A Pint trails by a score of 7-1 and needs to win 6 of the remaining 8 matches to win the title. I've left the round 3 and 4 scores for Mike and Phil off for now to add a little suspense. Good luck the rest of the way

I'll see every once in a while a stripe of fairway seemingly in the middle of nowhere before I realize that a designer tried to put a "drop zone" knowing that the game would be stupid about things. I think "that's nice, but they shouldn't have to". Assuming I even get a drop, it seems like 1/3 of the time I'm better off just rehitting as opposed to "Why don't you just take a drop on the other side of the pond with the tree blocking your view of the green at a mystery yardage". I don't know if "everything about water hazards" is near the top of the list of things that I wish worked better, but it's near the top in terms of just fundamental rule things.

Third round done. Started off ugly with a stupid bogey on the first hole. Birdied #3 to get back to even and I stayed that way until the 7th hole, where I made a long eagle putt on 7. That got me sparked and I just missed a birdie on 8, and followed it up with a birdie on 9. Another short miss on 10 but the chances were there. Then I really got hot and birdied 6 of the last 8 holes. The problem was that I double bogeyed #14 despite having 20 feet for birdie!!! That pin was totally ridiculous and I 4-putted. Birdied all four of the remaining holes but it wasn't good enough because I lost by 1. Well played bubbsboy100.

Thought my 3 putt on one of the par 5s was gonna do for me , and that eagle on last did help after all :-). Still too much work for us to do but keeps it interesting :-) I've only got Mike next so happy I took my last point of the final ha.

Round 3: okay-ish round, still not a fan of default winds. Brought back the wind indicator after going all season without it, feel like I seriously need a quick fine tuning with a couple of things and that'll help me get there faster. Too bad I had to draw the short stick and get a -15 target to even get a half from Mike B. I basically gave up any hope after parring 7th hole par 5 and then 8. Almost no way to make up for missed opportunities from there. Round 4: rotten luck through holes 4-6: missed chips times two by skirting the edge of the cup, and one narrow miss on a putt. Made up for a little at the back nine by knocking out a 29 footer early on and then a 36 and a half footer at the 16th for birdies. Don't fancy my chances here either but you never know. Tough winds and dicey pin spots here and there, combined with wicked slow greens is always fun... Might draw a blank or a maximum of 2 points at -39, which sucks and is super unlucky. Not disappointed in the total score since this is my standard score for the last month. When in the past month I've hit -41, -41, -40 and now -39, that's effing nuts and the kind of consistency which is extremely hard to be at with such various courses we've had at that stretch. I don't even know how I do it, I have way too many things going on during rounds that should make things shakier than this! That's that for the regular season stuff for me! Thanks to my teammates as always, even though I never have said it enough, and well played to our opposition this week no matter what the final outcome is. Off to the Ryder Cup, cheers! bino819

Rd 4 -2 Was never going to beat the master and cant really beat myself up as that to me was tough. 3 birds 1 bogey and rest pars. Lots of nearly putts but no real bad misses , I just could not get close enough. 4 5 4 3 4 3 4 5 4 4 4 3 4 4 3 4 4 4 Been a great comp again and to me there wasnt a lot in the teams, think no shows was the difference at times. Thanks team and now onto Ryder Cup. bino819
