Dear TST enthusiasts, You are all getting way too good at this! Despite this being the Georgia Championship week, I've therefore decided to take you to The Ocean Course, Kiawah in South Carolina. Surely, this lovely RCR will present you with a bit of a different/more difficult test than the last few weeks. This course on Kiawah Island boasts the most seaside holes in the Northern Hemisphere, so some wind is up most of the time; groundsmen will be working their asses off to keep the greens under control; fairways might dry out though. If you manage to navigate all that in the first three rounds, you are rewarded with shorter tees on a glorious fourth day! Best of luck and have fun, Frans

Not so good this week. A pitiful shot early in Round 2 sealed my fate, I was struggling to see the cut line anyway and a triple after pitching into water took any doubt away. Recovered a little but nowhere near enough.
Thoroughly enjoying this every week, the removal of a couple of aids really tests a player of my limited ability and I feel I've earned my birdies when I bag 'em.
I'll be back!!
Round 1 -3
Round 2 -4

Great GAWD allmighty I lurve this course! This is exactly the kind of course and conditions that I will probably play all 4 rounds whether I make the cut or not. Thanks Frans for this one, it is a beauty! Probably missing the cut, and I know it's early and most have not played yet, but humor an old fool please?

One of the many enjoyable things about TST for me so far are the course choices.

Shot 1, Rnd 1, red slow = in the drink! Double bogey. Not the start I was after. Fought hard and birdied 5 through 9 and x1 bogey and an eagle on the run home for -4. I'm Ok with that and generally agree with the sentiments above in terms of the good course selections. Personally wasn't a fan of Taiheiyo and El Jaguar for various reasons. Round 2 awaits!

Hit 'em pretty well in first 2 rounds and putting was solid without being spectacular. -18 at the cut. Rd3 was frustrating and nothing dropped early on. Scraped to -8 and -26 after 3. Took advantage of the shorter tees in Rd4, big eagle putt on 2, a couple of good sand saves and putts were dropping.....and a chip in or 2 for a -14. -40 total and a 1 shot PC lead at this early stage. Cheers

-15 through two rounds for me this week. Couple of stupid mistakes kept me away from being closer to twenty including a horrific very fast into the water on that last par 5 in round one.
Fantastic course though, some really tough pins in the first two rounds. A couple on the very right side of the green with water right and a right to left wind had me really considering just how aggressive I wanted to be. Thought the greens were plenty challenging without being over the line too. Really enjoyable week so far even if I'm kicking myself a little. Play well guys!

Finished in the high twenties under par.
Had a bit of a Van de Velde moment (or two) with the water on the back nine again in Round 4 and was spared another by about an inch on 17 with my second ball.
Frans definitely my favourite course and set up so far. Not my best week by any stretch but that course was a hell of a lot of fun to play. Cheers!

-2, -1 = -3. Really starting to wonder now if the first few weeks where I did really well were a fluke, or what is the biggest thing compared to those weeks that is different. I'm really good at shooting a par score by the looks of it, is there a tour for that anywhere?
Sunk a 35 foot putt in round 2 without even trying. Made me laugh. Of course the one putt I don't even try to do anything to get it right goes in no problem. Looked for the first break for about a second, pulled back due to a downhill, figured out the power for it and sent it. Yet about a dozen I think I've got right through figuring it all out miss by an inch or two because it either doesn't break or breaks more than it looks like it will. Think I'm letting the putting get to my head and need to throw my brain out when on the green because I think I overcomplicate it too much. Why is that? Am I to blame? Is it the game? What conspiracy theory will I come up with to make me feel better about myself and the fact I'm playing like a dummy? Why do I ramble so much? Why all these questions? These are the mysteries that we will never know the answers to, but I will try my absolute hardest to find them!
Not my week at all, reloading and onto the next one. Probably taking the rest of the rounds in for practice. Cheers and good luck as always!

Time to dive in, on the last remaining thing on these societies I have yet to explore.
Decided to finally jump in the deep end, and it’s time to get to work.

Loved the challenge this week. Great course selection for TST in my opinion. Finished at -34, mistakes were definitely made but thats golf.

Another ace this week. Round 2, Hole 5 Still only shot 8 under (even with no bogeys) to put me at -15 after the second round. Hard for me to imagine making more putts than I already make, but I think improved approach shot proximity will be my key to better putting.

For the first time this season, I didn’t throw it all away in a single round. Still feels like I left chances to go lower out there in rounds 3 & 4, but this will easily be my best finish of the season so far.
Round 3: -7 Round 4: -11 Total: -39

Would others agree that the back 9 at Kiawah is the more challenging 9? I found the 4s were more demanding in terms of the approach and more water "in play". It's a testing course that's for sure. I would imagine with a big wind blowing off the Atlantic it would be a brute.
