Me also picked up a new machine recently, quite similar to yours, Tim. Is nice experiencing the cool gfx etc for a change. The novelty will wear off i suppose, enjoying it to the max while it lasts. MS flightsim, Snowrunner, US and Euro truck sim, even played a bit of Sniper Elite 5, WRC, still have to download Cyberpunk and try, gosh, so many things to play, so little time. Maybe i should go on early pension  Too many cool stuff dragging me away from this game atm but spent a quick 5 minutes last night chucking a Gt3 rs around Road America going sideways and not so much forwards. That 5 minutes lasted more than an hour according to the ingame timer. If tyre wear was a thing in rivals i'd probably burn through a set per lap. Lotsa fun though! Can't wait for the Green Hell to drop, will take that same - now level 25 plus - Porka for a couple of laps there until my eyes burn. That golf game outside of my top 10 atm |

Apologies all... I have been slacking recently with this... I broke my glasses about 10 days ago, so using an older pair and it's making me tired and simply not getting enough time to do this. I will get on and update times of people either tonight or tomorrow and run the next one upto Christmas week... Apologies again all

Down to the bottom row with the open class things. Had to try it just for fun. Career mode ai, no harm done lol |

TimB Thanks for the heads up on next update. Happy they have Hockenheim added. Just did a multiclass freeplay, 4 groups six cars each. Took a while to set up. Was quite cool to do. Slowly getting back into game. I sure hope they put some new to forza tracks in.

I'm still playing. Attempted to just now but rage quit. But yeah. I can still do some laps if people are still into it. I play daily anyway. side note rant with a plea for help lol I updated my graphics driver as I noticed it was one from earlier this year. Updated to the latest STABLE one, not the latest one. As I've been reading lots of people having issues with 546.x drivers. So I update to 537.58 which seems to get a lots of good comments. Go into Forza. All graphic settings are reset. I try and set to Ultra DLAA, Ultra everything else and 175% resolution scale. I can do either the resolution scale or Ultra Dlaa but it won't let me do both. I can use regular DLSS and the scale. Kind of frustrated now. This is where I had it set and was very happy with the quality and frames.   And crap don't have a screen shot of the basic video settings screen. Wish I had taken one to confirm I wasn't losing my mind. I'm pretty sure I had Ultra DLAA on though. Now doubting myself. The medium render quality is as per Digital Foundry's suggested settings. low-720 medium 1080, high 2k (i think and ultra 4k) As I don't have a 4k tv (yet) it's supposed to be the proper setting for my tv. Anyone with an RTX card care to share their settings. Or wisdom on this DLSS/DLAA Crap. As I understand DLSS, upscales to higher resolutions. DLAA is native resoltion with AI anti aliasing. And DLAA is supposed to be the better image at the cost of frames. Which where I had things set up until yesterday was quite happy with my settings. |

Render scale and DLAA basically do the same thing so not sure why you're wanting to use both. DLAA is by far the best AA and will give a great picture quality. Render scale is just basically upping your resolution and then downscaling it to the resolution your monitor is. More pixels less alaising in this method. DLAA will give you an AI based AA at your native resolution. DLSS will upscale from a lower resolution to your native resolution. DLSS in Quality setting is awesome when using 4K as your native resolution and even uses that AI anti alaising so you can sometimes get better quality than native and TAA. Though native 4K and TAA gives 2K23 it's best visual quality. But for example Death Stranding DLSS Quality gives a way better picture at 4K than native. DLSS is an awesome upscaler. I am not sure what base resolution you use but try DLSS Quality or DLAA and render scale should be 100% as your performance will tank especially with Ray Tracing. My settings for this game is everything maxed and DLSS Performance which is 1080p upscaled to 4K. Looks great on the 42 inch OLED C2 TVI used as my desktop screen. |

I never really understood all the DLAA, DLSS, render scale in this game until getting this computer 2 weeks ago. I cranked render scale up because it seemed like the thing to do lol. Was happy with the image quality and since I lock to 60 frames (via NVidia control panel) anyway and it runs there locked. Unlocked can be 80+ with scale at 200. Scale at 100 is over 100 fps. But I don't care for the screen tearing.
It wasn't until I got Cyberpunk 2077 a few days ago that I began to look into what all these things do.
I'll give your settings a go. Will try both and just ignore the render scale from now on.

Went to the dark side and picked up a Thrustmaster T300 RS wheel to replace my old G29. Damn Logitech throttle pedal is fluttering so much that i cannot maintain 100% throttle even when dropping the outside deadzone down to 70%. Ugh. Back in the days when all i did was online racing the old Logi Momo throttle would not last even 6 months before it started with its crap. I thought Logikak would have sorted it 10 years and considerably more expensive down the line, or at least had better quality with the G29 but apparently still a bridge too far. Bummer.
Still feeling out the wheel, hum ha, ya. Being belt driven it is supposed to be nicer, pfft, who knows. Everything else feels a lot cheaper compared to the G29 tbh. Hopefully them pedals will last a wee bit longer.

I assume you cap your framerates in NCP to 60 because your monitor is 60Hz. I think you still might get screen tearing if you don't use Vsync or have a VRR display. Tbh if you're still getting good framerates by all means use render scale if it give you a better picture quality and you are hitting your desired framerates. There is the same setting in Nvidia Control Panel as this game's render scale. It is called DSR (dynamic screen resolution), it lets you choose resolutions in the game above your panels native res and downscales to your native resolution. It is pretty good if you use lower resolutions such as 1080p. |
