Knocked a few tenths off my time at Lime Rock but not quite enough to move up on the totem pole. Tried your setup ARH Semsi, gearing a tad too short as the car redlined around the s/f line already. Game did an update before i started, maybe something changed that caused it. Could not find your Mid Ohio setup once i loaded up that track - strangely i did see it listed earlier when i did laps at Lime Rock.

Good looking challenges. Barely have time to sit behind the wheel these days. I will surely put in some time on these Thanksgiving weekend.

It should reach around 105/106 MPH in gear 6 before the braking zone for the first corner.

Only played Forza for 30 minutes this week. I will get a good session today. From what I see on youtube a lot of bugs weren't fixed. Some were. Appears gameplay has really dropped off. These game makers need to put out finished product. On series x I haven't seen as many bugs as pc users. My big issue is ramming AI.

I've essentially dropped this game kind of. Still will load it up from time to time. But missing track textures, crashes to desktop have made this game nearly unplayable. I tried it on Geforce Now and it looks and plays great until you get that one frame hitch once per lap that last 3 seconds sending you into the wall.
I'm out, but not for good. I know I'm playing this on an older system but the jank is just terrible, yet I can run Forza Horizon at pretty high settings and it plays and looks great. Yeah I know different studios make each game. Time for Turn 10 to hand it over to Playground.
Thats 3 Microsoft titles that I know of this year that have released full of jank, bugs and downright not ready to be released. Redfall. Starfield (plays great on GFN though, but bugs in career that end your progression.) And now this game. Come on MS. Get your sh%$ together.
Then there is from another studio and publisher. Cities Skylines. I'm having a lot of fun with it but its in a mess of state. Major bugs with cargo docks, and a slew of other things. And it's bringing high end systems to their knees once you get a largish city going. Devs have had to come out and apologize for the bugs and performance. But they have been patching nearly weekly.
Great year of new releases but greed from publishers have tainted what could have been an amazing year of new games.
Yas Marina. After patch. Only time I have run on this track. Career mode edit free play mode
I'll still jump into the game from time to time but until I finally pull the trigger on the new computer most likely next week *have all parts picked out and set to have this place build it, just doing some final hand wringing. lol* This game is a load it up for 10 minutes and exit status.

I think your problem with textures not loading in could be a lack of VRAM problem on your GPU as this game might require higher VRAM, what graphics card are you using? Totally agree with you on Forza Horizon 5, that game not only looks a lot better the Motorsport it runs much better on lower spec PC's. I am running it at 1080p on the Asus ROG Ally handheld and am getting fantastic performance (well over 60fps) and visual quality in the game, it just looks great and plays great on the handheld. Not so with Forza Motorsport, it doesn't run great on the Ally but its is playable as the Ally has VRR with low framerate compensation when hitting under 48fps so even framerates in the 40's are very smooth. It does run well on my desktop PC though, I max out settings, max Ray Tracing also with DLSS performance setting. Curious as someone who loves building PC's what parts are you going for in your new PC build?

But I've even seen people with much higher cards talking about this. Caveat to prove our point though. I played at bit (several sessions) on Geforce Now Ultimate with their 4080 and no texture loss at all. Looks great, plays great barring a 2-3 second frame hitch every lap that once it's over, your in a wall. This is what I'm looking at right now. Compromising a bit with no 4080 but its the cost preventing me from it. It would be close to 5 grand with the 4080. New line of cards suppose to be coming next year so then maybe if the desire or need hits I'll go with one of them. Copy and paste from a Brew Crew rangering pm the other day. Things have changed a bit. Parts which were not available are now Going to be an all white build. I am running the game in 4K with DLSS upscaling and it runs great on my PC. I also have the RTX 4070ti and it is amazingly power efficient and cool. I was using the 3080ti before and it was pulling in over 100w more power the 4070ti and generating much more heat. I have a 850w PSU which is more than enough for my PC and yours also. My PSU is modular also which helps with cable management. I actually was contemplating the 4080 but the card is so thick the GPU's fan would been right up against my sound card, so it would be blocking the fan. I am happy with the 4070ti though and won't be upgrading for a while even though I play games on a 4K OLED.

I had misgivings and been out of the tech loop for so long I wasn't sure if it was a decent card. Been doing lots and lots of reading for the last two weeks on the tech nowadays trying to get some basic form of knowledge. It's my usual process on buying something like this. I'll spend weeks reading every bit of information about everything lol . Card size has been the reason I have been working the 980 for 10 years now. I have a pci wifi card below the 980 and with the thickness of the newer cards it made it impossible to upgrade. Along with the length puts the end of the card right up against the drive bays. Doing away with mechanical drives for this build. Same with the PS. Glad to hear that too. I was thinking with all the rgb I'd need a bigger ps. Glad I wont. Will be swapping out the wifi card though. The place has all these wifi 6 cards and very little 2.4 and 5g ones. No idea what Wifi 6 was until this morning but have learned it's all backwards compatible. My isp doesn't have wifi 6. Can't go wired, not feasible without some major wiring And sorry to the folks in here. I'll keep the non racing talk to a minimum. Not trying to annoy you all.

Every quit playing this? No one talking about it anymore. (Also just bought Cyberpunk 2077 so will be getting into more of that once I figure out how to play the damn game) I'm back in with the new pc. Been pounding out career. Have played about 60+ races, mostly career, few online and today just discovered the advanced race setup setup in free play. Some cool settings in there I've never noticed before playing other earlier versions of this game. Admittedly never dabbled much in the race setup before. Dynamic rubber. Thats cool. The other day they had a in multiplayer a series in the Mazda MX Cup. Was lots of fun and I fell in love the car. Went and did a 6 lap race at Yas this morning and got abused by the ai. They are brutal. Here's one lap with the clones. All white MX Cups (video still processing so only showing 360p right now. (Ignore Riva Tuner stats at top. Still in the "watch my system" phase until I'm used to and confident things are running fine. Which they are) In my 60 or more races. I've not had one instance of track textures going missing, not one crash to desktop. This game is running great for me now. I may have to retract my earlier slagging of MS in this games performance lol

I'm just waiting for the next set of tracks.
Forza is my 2nd game, so it gets a lot less play time than golf.
