It's easier for everyone, that's not the debate. The aim was to close the difficulty gap between platforms, and early indications are it seems to have done that. It's never going to be totally even unless they address the polling points problem on the Xbox, but on these settings we can compete.

Yes Jason you have a chance on XB ... as long as there are no crowds; there are no waterfalls; the course is not over-planted; the servers are behaving; and you have 4 perfect rounds with tempo and the putter! More importantly, it's more fun.

Week 2 saw the data below. XB1 saw the % of cuts made fall off compared to last week. PC players saw most of those gains with PS4 having a modest gain. Player share basically stayed steady on PC, whereas XB1 gained the PS4 share loss.

This is a bit of different data. Showing the breakdown of players on each tour for context. Am curious how this compares to Week 4 data where players have played a week after movement via the Promotion Event has happened. The "most representative" tours comparing to the whole are CC-C, CC-D, and CC-E.

Week 3 and numbers were mostly steady. A bit of a drop off in players for PS4, but server issues are likely to blame. The % of XB1 making the cut jumped back up, but still off of week 1 highs.
TOTAL TOURS (15 Tours) Players : 1921 -36 compared to week 2 (connection issues throughout the week to blame?) Made cut: 1163 - 8 compared to week 2 Made cut %: 60.54% +0.70% compared to week 2
PS4 (58.25% of all players - Won 12/15 tours or 80%) -0.72% share and -1 winner compared to week 2 Players : 1119 - 35 compared to week 2 Made cut: 703 - 25 compared to week 2 Made cut %: 62.82% -0.26% compared to week 2
PC (21.97% of all players - Won 3/15 tours or 20.00%) +0.30% share and +2 winners compared to week 2 Players : 422 - 2 compared to week 2 Made cut: 254 - 4 compared to week 2 Made cut %: 60.19% -0.66% compared to week 2
XB1 (19.78% of all players - Won 0/15 tours or 0.00%) +0.41% share and -1 winners compared to week 2 Players : 380 + 1 compared to week 2 Made cut: 206 + 21 compared to week 2 Made cut %: 54.21% + 5.40% compared to week 2

Week 4 saw a WGC event, so here was a corresponding jump in cuts made. Platinum as a total is normally around 45% or so making cuts. With the WGC event (I counted as all making a cut) and a shorter field in the regular Platinum event, the aggregate cuts made among Plat. card holders was more like 71%. The shorter fields in CC-K and CC-L along with the randomness around how many in CC tours make cuts tied for the last spot also added to the cut make % for the week. TOTAL TOURS (16 Events) Players : 1981 +60 compared to week 3 Made cut: 1265 +102 compared to week 3 Made cut %: 63.66% +3.12% compared to week 3 PS4 (58.91% of all players - Won 14/16 tours or 87.50%) +0.66% share and +2 winner compared to week 3 Players : 1167 + 48 compared to week 3 Made cut: 761 + 58 compared to week 3 Made cut %: 65.21% +2.39% compared to week 3 PC (21.35% of all players - Won 2/16 tours or 12.50%) -0.62% share and -1 winners compared to week 3 Players : 423 + 1 compared to week 3 Made cut: 276 + 22 compared to week 3 Made cut %: 65.25% +5.06% compared to week 3 XB1 (19.74% of all players - Won 0/16 tours or 0.00%) -0.04% share and no change in winners compared to week 3 Players : 391 + 11 compared to week 3 Made cut: 226 + 20 compared to week 3 Made cut %: 57.80% + 3.59% compared to week 3

Great data Bob 👍 Seem to be some fairly consistent numbers coming through now. Xboxers are still at a disadvantage but the gap has closed which gives us a fighting chance of at least playing 4 rounds. The problem is always those pesky PS4 players at every level who have a good week and shoot the lights out. We've had many players challenge on Xbox but to do it over 4 rounds is still very tough. owenayy knocking on the door in CCC again this week, luhooo in CCA, cheering you on fellas! At the end of the day though, this is still a fun place to give it a go. It's a real shame we can't separate the PS4 and PS5 scores. From what I hear the PS5 plays a lot closer to Xbox? Maybe the next generation will fix these problems before 2K does?

Please continue to post this weekly data Cecil Harvey. It's fantastic and gives us Xboxers the drive and motivation that we CAN compete and that Tours made a GREAT DECISION for the viability of their community as a whole.

Cut Marks need moving out now, -21 or better to maybe, just maybe make a cut is becoming ludicrous.

The consoles aren't balanced, and that's a shame. But to my knowledge, balanced cross play has also never been advertised by HB/2K as a feature of this series. I've always wondered - if being competitive and moving up the ladders is your thing, then why not just bite the bullet and purchase a PS4 or PS5? Seems like some cognitive dissonance to keep playing week after week knowing you're at a significant and known disadvantage. Must be frustrating. And I understand PS4s aren't cheap, but neither is an XB. If you're a dedicated weekly player (not saying you specifically but to XBers in general), why keep subjecting yourself to unnecessary unbalanced punishment? And maybe being competitive isn't your thing, but you must know what you're getting into when you tee it up against PS4 players. I guess my point is that a solution exists.

I guess it's just a management/balance of priorities if the price tag is too high. At some point the XBer paid something similar. If I played the tours weekly for several years on the XB and loved the competition and feeling of being an imaginary pro golfer, it'd probably be worth the investment for me. But that's me. Most weeks I only play one game. And I'm sure it's a number of factors like other games, family, streaming, etc. Oh well.

I purchased a Series S "primarily" for this one game, and would have ponied up for the Series X or PS5 if I could have located one. And although I do dip my toe into a few other games from time to time, I'd say 95% of my playtime since I picked it up has been for this one game. It's a pricy hobby, I suppose...but less so over time.
As to the competitive aspect, I've steadily improved my game over the last few months. If I hit some type of ceiling, I'll seriously consider switching to the PS5 or PC.

To be fair I've just shelled out on a Series X. I'm a confirmed Xboxer. The online community is better, the controllers are better, the console is great. And to be fair I've never been one to complain about the disparity in the game across the consoles. I recognize it's there but it is what it is. I've still had fun and some success competing against everyone. And to be honest I think the game works just fine on Xbox, particularly the Series X. From what I hear it plays very similar on PS5. It's the PS4 where it's broken. I don't want a broken game 🤷
