Butser Hill GC (possible Rookie Design entry)

I'm going to give this a go; it probably won't work, but I can always fall back on a more normal course if need be. Some changes to the real-life plot, most importantly halving elevations - a 300ft descent on the 1st is a bit much; 150ft is pushing it but I think it's ok. Inspiration on the environment from Hockley Golf Club which I played a lot when I was a bit younger.

Love this...Are you going to try and use LIDAR or build based on eye?

Thank you! We're not allowed LIDAR for Rookie contest and I'm not sure how I'd halve the elevations with it, so it'll have to be by eye, which will be a good sculpting challenge.

Looking like a fun course. Love the idea of recreating a real life plot, I think doing it manually opposed to lidar could result in something quite unique and interesting. I’m like how you’re thinking about the routing, looks like a good variety of hole directions and looks from the wind.
