Hey guys! I'm relatively new to the tours, started in the last 6 or so tourneys last season. I figured we should have a thread for discussion about the beer league tourneys this season. I'm sure not too many others will hop in but maybe I can stir a bit of convo.
Anyways onto the first tourney of the season! The Ghostbreaker Classic at Tidewater Bay. What do you guys think about the course? I personally really enjoyed the scenery for the course and felt like it could provide a good challenge for me off the tee with all the water on the right of fairways! I play as a lefty and hit fast a lot so the water really comes into play.
Although, I'm happy to say I had a pretty good first round (for my standards) shooting -8. Then to start the second round I was -7 on the front nine but really choked my round away and shot +3 on the back. But -12 should net me a made cut in the first tourney of the season, we will see. I'm not very good at the game, only have 45 total hours, so honestly my goal is to just make the cut each tourney.
Also, I'm sticking in beer league for now since I like having the yardage on the marker, but I will not being using the meter this season as I want to keep developing my game without it.
What do you guys think of the tourney so far?

This is my first TGCT tourney for about 18 months playing on the previous version of the game. Now getting into this version, the new tour settings for this season and the recent swing patch update.
The game is definitely less frustrating than when it started and my first two rounds were bogey free with a current score of -14, that should make the cut.
I'm not aiming to be the best player or be a winner by any stretch, just looking forward to competing for the whole season and, who knows, hopefully be a top 10 player on the Xbox...

With week 2 under way & TGCTours kind enough to employ my most recent publish, thought I'd pop in & say welcome to Mad River Golf Complex at the Tilted Kilt Invitational!
I see week 1 scoring is about as I'd expected it to be at least through the top 10 or so well done. And for those below the top 10, nicely done also. A lot of golf left so keep at it.
A word of caution though, if the winds to happen to whip up you may find yourselves facing the course's looong version so keep your long clubs tuned. And if you find yourself getting a little beat up, don't hesitate to take a short break just off the 15th tee. A burger & a beer might just get you right back on track to finish out!
Anyway, good luck to all & thanks for playing. Hope you enjoy your rounds at Mad River Golf Complex. If you have a minute, feel free to leave a comment about the course in the Completed Course Section here,

This course is tough enough without trying to force bogeys with the wind. I am not happy at all.

I don't know what they've done to this game, but it's AWEFUL. I used to be in the top 100 on the PGA Tour (now Platinum, why?). Last year the beer league was OK, and scoring was fairly easy. Now I struggle to break par, and the best scores lately have been coming from the PC guys. I'm at -6 through 2 rounds and in the top 30. Pretty much says it all...

Hey guys, I know this board isn't super active but this week is the first course that I've designed that's made it onto tour, so though I'd jump on here to see how everyone's getting on with Numinbah Valley Golf Club?
