17 players who shot -10 or better still to play round 2...only 13 players keeping my score off the cut line...nail biting has commenced. Well that didn't take long, and still have plenty of fingernails left. Onward to next week! I see you made it Art!! Good job you are not still Mayor in Triple c. -20 got cut!!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I hate 144's! Awful first round on an extremely gettable set up. 88% GIR, 28 putts, parred all three par 5's on the back, 64, rubbish.
Second round I again struggled and was only E thru 7, and then out of nowhere caught fire. 8 birds and an eagle 2 over the next 9 holes and I've picked up 10 shots! I missed a short one on 17 to extend the run and that could prove costly.
64 and 62 for -18. It's top 50 on the early Xbox leaderboard which is normally a good sign of making the cut, but looking at the CCB leaderboard I think I'm probably short. Guess we'll see in the morning.

Man, that missed putt on 17 really did cost me! It was one of those that was so short I didn't really look at it, somehow managed to fire it straight at the top edge. Shame, it would have been a good cut to make after such a poor first round. Onwards!

Pretty jazzed about my performance this week, I think it is my best score on TGCT ever and Humph free to boot! Looking like a top 10, so that means a M/C next week Onward!

Bit of a shootout this week then! Lolling at the 2 55's from the guy at the top! I seem to have found another gear over the last week or so, we'll see how long it lasts. Played pretty well in the first round, didn't drive the ball very well in the second and left a couple of putts short (as per on the 144's) but a couple of early eagles had me ahead of the game. 59 and 60 for -25 at half way. Only 9 shots off the lead! 😂. But plenty ahead of the cut line which looks like -18 to me. Maybe -19. Happy to see the faster greens are back for the third round.

After the heady week last, I brought a cap gun to Jamie's shootout. Not a truly fair statement, but I feel the two Humphs in 36 holes are gonna cost me the cut and a greenie. -9 & -8 for -17. Close, but not very sure of this one.
Onward!

Woeful first round. It wasn't even that I played that badly, one bad swing at 11 cost me 2 and apart from that I just couldn't hole a putt. Second round started in much the same vein but then out of nowhere I caught fire on the back 9. Might be too little too late but 69 and 60 to be -15 at the cut. At the very least I hope I've staved off any damage, I was looking at a Doyley kiss on each cheek for a bit there. Really like the course.

And now for the second half of the Jaime and Art show:
Started well with the only hiccup in round 1 was playing the par 3 7th poorly (back fringe, aggressive chip ran down the false front, instant Humph). The winds in round 2 made me concentrate a bit more, clean card but only scoring came on the inward half.
-11, -9 for -20 at the cut. Gosh that should be good enough?
Onward!

That's plenty Art, put your feet up, have a cigar. Looks like I'm going to come up one short. I had chances on the last two holes too. 17 I hit a perfect on approach but misjudged the wind for pretty much the first time and came up short. 18 I had a makable eagle chip which I just grey fasted and watched it slide by the left edge. At least it wasn't a missed 4 footer that cost me this time! Second time in 3 weeks I've had a terrible first round and nearly made it with a run on the back 9 in the second. Close, but no cigar for me.

Jamie was right, cut made easily and I see him on the number but outside looking in.
If he looks hard enough he can see my high quality deuce I laid in round 3. -2 was a solid turd of a round, barely kept my card in the red. Round 4 was better, but all it does is keep my one greenie intact. Meh, better than forking it over, right?
Onward!

After 25 holes I was -5 and looking at a double strike. I don't mind sitting on one red mark because you lose that just by making a cut. The worst thing to happen would be to put 4 rounds together and get in the promo mark territory, and all you do is remove demo marks!

Cut looks like -22/23 this week, thankfully I got it to -24 to wipe out my last red mark. 3rd round was poor, 4th round a bit better, nothing much to see here.

Standing at -22 at the cut this week after double nickels got me another shiny greenie last week.
I like this weeks' course, we need to diversify what we play on tour with some courses like this (tree lined making you think) and others not sand belt beauties.
Over to you Jamie.
Onward!
