More of my swing and me talking about it.

I watched this without audio, so didn't hear your commentary - but it looks like you did have decent tempo on the drive and approach, which means you ended up with a hit fairway, a green in regulation and a birdie putt.
So it looked like proper play per the game's requirements, and when you dial in that tempo a bit more that birdie putt will be considerably closer.

Because I have a strategy that avoids tempo when it works. I only complete half of my swing and flick the stick forward for the rest of the swing, keeping the game from recognizing there is any swing tempo at all. In about half of rounds this works and if half it does not. This is why I said the game does not always read me correctly. No, what you have is a strategy that hits perfect tempo occasionally. You're basically trying to shove a square peg into a round hole then wondering why it doesn't fit. I don't care about improvement. I don't want to improve, I want to be OBEYED.

I don't care about improvement. I don't want to improve, I want to be OBEYED. That makes no sense. The game is programmed to be played a certain way and nothing you do will change it. So yeah, you won't improve and the game won't obey whatever it is you want it to do.

I don't see the swing problems I have as my problems. I see them as the game failing to work as I am telling it. I am trying to play on the END OF EXISTENCE of my swing. When I let go of the swing halfway though, tempo should no longer affect me because THE SWING NO LONGER EXISTS. I can do perfect swings, I choose not to because I think they do not work. I will try perfect swings the next couple of weeks and I can PROMISE you I will not improve at all.

I went from +2 to -7 using perfect swing in the last 2 rounds. I believe that this was from making lucky shots and the game deciding to make it easier on you from being down in the tournament though. I often do this and finish in the top 50 or above after missing the cut earlier.

How do you expect to hit anything with a non existent swing? πππ I would have thought going from +2 with whatever this crazy method is that you're trying to make the game play properly with (hint: it will never work) to -7 aiming for perfect swings is all the evidence you'd need that your method doesn't work, perfect swings do in fact work, and by aiming for them you will improve. The game is programmed to play with a swing tempo, the end result of all swings is partly determined by the tempo. No amount of moaning, complaining, trying all sorts of sorcery with the controller will change the way it plays. Unless you can get into the nuts and bolts and change the coding or whatever it is in the game files you will not make it change. If you want to improve, you'll need to play the game as it's intended by aiming for perfect swings. But since you apparently don't want to improve then it seems to me this thread is a complete and utter waste of bloody time for all involved, including you.

Ahh, the old "computer assistance" like when you're behind in a game in NBA Jam. I loved NBA Jam!

There is another reason I don't swing with tempo. This is because you cannot see the blue shot control lines in a tournament. Because of this I try to control the ball from my swing. I swing off on purpose trying to control the impact and spin of my ball on the green or fairway. Until shot control lines are restored to tournaments I will never swing approach shots on tempo. I do use left stick up and down on shots to gain distance but find under hitting with control impossible. I never use slice or fade. I always swing for red 101 power on full shots. What are these blue shot control lines?

Pretty arcadey to me and I'm glad it's not in tournaments.

I watched your video meunier33 and I think I understand you are saying the game decides to change the tempo for you randomly. The best way to control tempo from round to round is to recalibrate your controller. Are you doing that? Otherwise the game is simply not self-deterministic like you say. Look at the top players who shoot -18 every round. If the game was like you say, no way these guys could keep repeating their scores.

Yes I am talking about the shot preview lines. The people who shoot -18 every round are playing on T1 connections etc so the game becomes easy for them. Recalibration of my controller only makes things worse. Someone finally gets it that tempo IS NOT CONTROLLABLE. My correct tempo can change in between shots, never mind in between rounds!
