Gave your Lakes Course a play, I'll post my hole-by-hole thoughts below! Played back tees, pin 2, default everything. In general, I think you have some good ideas in terms of hole strategy and just need more practice making the course look and feel natural. Lots of the slopes were far too severe and just felt out of place. The bunker scaling was pretty wild in some spots, very large and deep which did not suit the look of a flat lakeland course. Green contours also did not always make the most sense, although at least you made it interesting! Overall, kudos on an ambitious three course project and property. I think with some more sculpting, planting, and overall practice you'll get there! My notes as I played through are below, feel free to ignore though! Congrats on the publish!
First hole could've used a bit more planting all around, and the single-file rows of palms felt more like spectators in an arena rather than a naturally planted landscape.
Second hole was pretty decent, front bunkers might've been a bit too flat but overall a better look off the tee. Again, a bit more planting would've felt more immersive down by the water.
Third hole, the right fairway bunker is a bit sloppy. Steep edges and some exposed rock that could've been covered in heavy rough. Green was a bit small maybe, and green side bunkers again too steep, but some improved planting here.
Fourth hole was the best yet, nice look off the tee. Again planting could've just generally been more detailed throughout.
Fifth hole: a little rough in front of the green with the bunkers infringing near the fairway, but I like that you're getting more creative with the looks here.
Sixth hole: interesting strategy on the tee shot, although the short fairway could've been stretched more to the right. Again some trouble with sense of scale, as the right green side bunker is an absolute pit. Fairway was a bit too extreme in undulations, and a bit too random, for the style of course.
Seventh hole: similar issues to the previous, some real issues with scaling and sculpting now. The green is a bit too small and the bunkers again too severe. Fairway undulations look a bit unrealistic and sloppy. Some solid hole strategies or designs, just could be improved with better use of tools.
Eighth hole: Fairway pinched right at the driver landing area is a bit severe. Otherwise, similar issues as throughout. Just need to work on your sculpting going forward, smooth out the surfaces a bit! Undulation on fairways or any playing areas is mostly fine, but it should look and play consistent with the topography of the overall landscape.
Ninth hole: This one is a bit out of hand, as the extreme front to back slope near the back of the green made it basically impossible to hold. I landed softly on top to the back pin and still couldn't stay on the green. Slopes too extreme here, on an otherwise decent looking hole.
Tenth hole: This was an improvement! Fairway contours and green size a bit more reasonable.
Eleventh hole: Again pretty decent sculpting here. I'm noticing a bit of "same-ness" in the par 3s at this point, they all feel a bit similar...slightly downhill, shallow green, towards some water.
Twelfth hole: another decent hole, scaling of bunkers near the green are again a fair bit too big. Cluster of 3 bunkers to the left of the green stand out a lot!
Thirteenth hole: Decent little par 3, green is a bit severe but just a short iron so no huge deal there. Similar other issues, size and sculpting of bunkers.
Fourteenth hole: I like that you went for a drive-able, but it was a little too easy around the green. A tip would be to sharpen the run-off long and right to make the ball really carry away from the hole. I only had a simple chip from this side, so a no-brainer to go for the green in one.
Fifteenth hole: A few comments on this one. Pin 2 was way too penal for a 200+ yard par three, with a steep front to back slope right behind a pin that you're approaching with a long iron. A bit of planting way too close to the green on the back as well. Not my favourite hole.
Sixteenth hole: Didn't mind the tee shot here, but the green again has some weird and kind of too severe slopes. A common theme on this course would be to think critically and heavily play through your holes. Long approaches with steep run offs behind the pin but on the green don't really make a lot of sense in general.
Seventeenth hole: Not much on this one, better fairway sculpting from what I could tell.
Eighteenth hole: Good job going for a bigger finish, always nice to end with a hole with some wow factor. As always, some sculpting and overall scaling issues, but you've got the right idea.
